Fairway Inn Florida City Homestead Everglades

The room was clean, the staff was very friendly, and the location was great for going to the Everglades and Biscayne National Parks. The bed was comfortable and there was a decent breakfast included. The other guests we met were from all over the world, which enhanced our experience.

1- AC is very loud! We used earplugs, but would not have been able to sleep otherwise. 2- I wish they wouldn't use so much styrofoam and plastic at breakfast. Our planet is dying. 3- I wish they had fresh fruit, other than unappealing apples wrapped in more plastic. This is the heartland of fruit farms!

Great location for visiting Florida Keys, if you do not intend to spend fortune for the hotel. Sure you have to drive for 3 hours one way. For us it was a good decision. As you do not need a week on the islands if you are short with time. It is also a good starting point for the Everglades and Robert`s fruit farm, where you can find fresh friut and the best mango on the planet. Sure the rooms are a bit outdated but it was clean,

well brakfast could be better. For us Europeans this is just unussuall that you get eggs and waflles out of tetrapack. Coffe was ok, it would be nice to get some fresh fruit as it is grown in the area. What actually bothered me was the air condition which was loud as jet engine in the night. So get some earplugs.

I loved pretty much everything, the best of all is the location - it is next to a main crossroad, so regardless you go to the Everglades, or to Biscayane NP, or to Florida Keys, everything is in a reasonable distance from there. The swimming pool is also great.

Well, we arrived in Miami in the evening, our rental car was not ready until the next day, and we had quite a trouble getting to the hotel from Miami without a car. Taxis and Lyft drivers were either occupied or asked an enormous price for that journey (it is pretty far). Maybe you could offer a shuttle from the Miami train station/airport to the hotel and back for a reasonable price. It is, however, possible that this service exists and we did not notice it - in that case, there is nothing I would not like.

Ambience was phenomenal, beautiful landscaping, great rooms and layout of facility. Centrally located to each destination we wanted to see

Breakfast. Alternating between two styles of eggs. One popular (scrambled) and the other not so much (hard boiled eggs). The serving container has three compartments, make two scrambled and one hard boiled. There’s no breakfast meats. And with the waffles, add one or two more waffle makers, then add toppings for children, such as chocolate chips, strawberry glaze, whipped cream… It was good, but could have been great.

The grounds are the same or better than a 4star hotel. They take great pride in their grounds and it shows! They have multiple covered patio areas equipped with a charcoal grill, trash can and ashtray. I saw housekeeping cleaning these tables throughout the day. The rooms were clean and they have bed bugs protection on the mattress and box spring. The pillows were comfortable. Everyone was so nice and their breakfast was fantastic! Something for everyone. They also have an outdoor sitting/eating area screened in. It was lovely! The entire area is lit up very well at night. 30 minutes to downtown Miami with traffic and 20 minutes to Key Largo! The price is fantastic and we will be back many times!

The room had a bit of a musty smell. However it's super south Florida, so that has to be taken into consideration

- location is extremely convenient for trips to the Florida Keys, Everglades but also to Miami. - breakfast, - value for money - neighborhood with all the restaurants, shops etc. - it was quiet, relaxing & safe. - we were able to rest after tiring sightseeing trips;)

- rooms are quite sizable but deserve refurbishment, especially in restrooms and lavatories, - some equipment was not working like sa flock and some was missing like eg: kettle - variety & qualit of foods at the breakfast might be a bi better;)

This was my second stay here, and I am returning in August, just relaxing for me, I truly enjoyed my stay! Your front desk is very nice, your housekeeping staff is also very sweet, it was extremely hot during my stay, and I noticed some of them were not carrying water, please keep your staff safe under those conditions....

I really do not have any negative to say... I do recommend that the shower heads need a little cleaning. Use VINEGAR it cleans the shower head beautifully and does not cause any damage, I use it in my shower! Other than that, all is good...

Superb! I spent 2 (!) wonderful weeks at the Fairway Inn (29 Nov-14 Dec 2022), the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, courteous and professional. The motel is located half-way between Downtown Miami and the Keys, right next to the Everglades National Park, so ideal as a base for driving around, and exploring South Florida. The motel is located just off US1, and yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful. My room was very spacious by motel standards, had a good-sized fridge, a microwave, super efficient aircon, a massive, super confortable bed, and was kept absolutely spotless throughout my 2-week stay. Also, complimentary breakfast and relaxing pool area :) Superb location, superb staff (thank you Krystal!), and last but not least, superb value for money.

The hotel is a little dated and the room was definitely on the smaller side but it was extremely comfortable, meticulously maintained and beautifully landscaped. There was a grounds keeper in a golf cart keeping an eye on everything 24/7 and the property is well lit. I definitely felt that my son and I were safe here, along with our vehicle and its belongings. One of the better hotel breakfasts, more selections and lots of fresh fruit. Superb location and cost. Definitely the place I'd chose for the safety and security provided here alone.

Room was a little small. It was more than enough for my 5yr old and myself for one night, but it would be a bit cramped if we stayed longer and brought more of our belongings.

Great location. Clean. We didn't end up partaking in breakfast, but the fact there was one every day just in case was wonderful. The extra doorway (to adjoin two rooms) was a bonus allowing for an over-the-door hanging towel rack.

There could use to be more places to store clothing (closet or second dresser) to keep separate from the rest of the room. As it is south Florida, everyone knows the humidity levels never really drop. Keeping dry things dry so close to the bathroom was difficult. More powerful fans in the bathroom as well.
