The Vagabond Hotel

The hotel was fabulous. Loved the room, it was huge and the bed/pillows so comfortable. Best sleep of our stay in Florida. The room was perfectly clean, the shower worked brilliantly. Loved the 1950's vibe of the hotel, the pool area was so cool. Extra bonus was the greek restaurant next to the hotel. Fab food and a great suprise.

Though I am writing this a a negative, it actually was a positive too. The hotel is a fair bit away from the action. However, Uber was brilliant and efficient. The positive was that there was no noise and it was quiet. Another little downside is nowhere to really eat, apart from the Greek restaurant without taking our car. After the journey to Miami from St Augustine, we decided to take Uber everywhere. We are from the UK! So a negative with a big positive.

Staying here was wonderful, they really deliver a thought through & tested Guest Experience. Everything you need is there for you. They got many details right that even the luxury 5* places don't. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. They must have the nicest staff in Miami too - Thank you to all

There is one tiny addition we would make to our rooms - a curtain or screen between the sleeping area and bathroom sink. The toilet & shower are of course behind doors though having the bathroom sinks in the room caused disturbance in night for the other & could be an embarrassment changing issue for some

Beautiful facility. Clean and beautifully landscaped. loved the pool area. Our room was very pretty. Air conditioning worked great. Only negatives were a bit of a musty smell and an expensive bar. Definitely sticker shock. Bar tender, Sebastian, was great. Definitely recommend this Motel. The Venezuelan restaurant Doggies had wonderful food for breakfast and dinner. Just a quick walk away. Mr Mandolin’s had a nice happy hour. Greek food and bakery. We will be back.

Well put together for an older property. Had a funky hip vibe and the pool bar was dreamy. Really enjoyed the pool area. The beds were comfortable and the room was fine, sans some minor issues. Lovely stay overall. No elevators.

The room didn't have hot water in the shower - just luke warm. The bathroom sink has a design flaw that doesn't let water drain properly. You need to swish it around and then it will flow. The AC worked fine. There was a drawer in the room that wouldn't stay shut - a bit annoying.

The entire property is extremely clean and well maintained. The pool area is gorgeous. Even though it's a "motel" style property, it's very quiet. You cannot hear any outside noise from other rooms or the road. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and spacious. The decor is fun and almost cartoonish. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I loved the added touches of bottled water every day and clean robes. There's also daily housekeeping services, which is uncommon in hotels these days. The location is smack dab in the middle of everything. It's away from the chaos of downtown and Miami beach, but in a central location to all the main attractions of the city. Book here if you want a unique stay.

Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pool bar because it's closed Monday-Wednesday, and that's when we were there. The bed was a little too firm for my personal preference. The humidifier is very loud (thankfully you can just turn it off). Breakfast isn't included.

We had a nice night's stay at Vagabond Hotel. The pool was lovely and pretty big for a motel, they even had a pool bar! The room was also very big and spacious and decorated in a cool retro yet modern style. Fridges are available to rent for 10 dollars per night, we just used an ice bucket instead to cool our wine! The team were friendly and welcoming, overall a nice spot to rest your head!

It is a neat retro throw back motel with real room keys. The staff at booth the motel and the attached restaurant were amazing! The room was very large, smelled great and was so clean. The pool area was great! I was traveling with my 11 year old son and felt very safe in the area.

Would have loved a mini fridge tucked away somewhere but otherwise it was Fantastic!

The size of the room was appreciated. The staff at the front desk could not have been more helpful and kind. Always appreciated. Keep up the good work.

The restaurant next door does not serve breakfast.....so we went to the dinner two blocks down the road. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to have it right here on premises. Please this is only a comment not a complaint.

I would definitely stay here again! The Hotel staff was very attentive and accommodating since our flights arrived so early. We traveled with our 3 adult children and had 2 king size rooms and 1 double room. The whole hotel was immaculate and upon entering our room it was very large and clean with a cute retro decor that was continued throughout the hotel. The beds and pillows were super comfortable giving us a great night sleep. The maids were constantly seen cleaning and our room was always turned down in the afternoon upon our return from sightseeing. It was nice that our rooms remained as clean and well kept as the 1st day of our arrival, we had our room for a total of 6 days. The pool area is true to the pictures and was clean comfortable lounging areas around pool area as well as a cute full equipped bar. We struck up a conversation with the bartenders who served some yummy mixed drinks. One of whom also turned out to be the owner of the hotel Sebastian was very friendly and attentive. Great vision on this hotel Sebastian it truly is just as stylish as you. Thank you to all the Vagabong staff for making our family trip before our sons deployment a memorable one.

I can truly say that the one negative was no refrigerators in the rooms. Although there is an ice machine so we did end up buying a Styrofoam cooler to get us through our stay.

It really offered what we were looking for: a setup for a gathering of friends from different countries. The rooms were impeccable, bed, bedclothes, towels and elements I would call extras for this price like pool towels, bathrobe. All top quality. To be noted. Miami is a "car city" and to have parking space is key. Location is rich in terms of architecture, history and all the basics. Staff is warm and welcoming. General mood is easygoing and relaxed. At Mr Mandolin they know their trade and they serve excellent greek food. The size of the hotel allows a personalized reception and proportions are excellent: size of the rooms, of the swimming pool.

Not much to say for this hotel offers a superb price/value relationship. To add room service or other services would not allow to maintain this friendly rates. It's a fact. With the reactivation post pandemic maybe business will get better and it will allow improvements. But we have found all we were looking for.
