Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Ocala

Breakfast was a disaster. old man couldn’t keep up when it got busy and no one else came to help.

The room was what you would expect at this chain or at Hampton Inn: a very nice place, free parking, decent security, better linens and a free hot breakfast. This hotel’s food selections were unusually varied and included healthy alternatives. The hot bar was the usual barely edible hash brown cardboard ovals, grease sticks and powdered eggs. Coffee was okay.

Dim lighting in bathroom made it hard to shave. see above about breakfast. Note that the rooms on the end of the building closest to I75 have extremely loud road noise 24/7. I asked to be relocated and the very nice front desk woman (Jewel?) got me a much quieter room right away.

It had nice landscaping and the property was very clean. No trash or Unnecessary debris or anything to take away from it’s appeal.

The only thing that was obvious and jumping out, was the fact that the roof is still under construction (If I am not mistaken from the tornado 🌪 that hit a few months back??) If the areas weren’t being patched with coverings that were white, it was such a contrast to the other non-damaged parts. It wouldn’t have even caught my attention otherwise.

Great customer service from Josea. He upgraded my room when I told him the room they had given me had a light out and the deadbolt wasn't working. The new room was perfect and I had a nice stay

The hotel was in the path of a tornado Saturday morning around 7;45... The staff handled the very challengeing situation remarkably. from the manager to the maintenence staff they jumped into action. They turned a horrible situation into calm. Several cars were totalled in the parking lot and got the property cleaned up quickly and professionally and with a smile.

Breakfast was actually pretty impressive for a smaller hotel, and everything was organized and clean. The room has a coffee maker, fridge and microwave, too.

The price, frankly. I was shocked by the rents in Ocala. The Fairfield was priced correctly, though, given its place in the overall market. But the overall market is inflated by almost 100% in my opinion.

We stayed here on our way to Disney World. The front desk clerk was so welcoming! We were upgraded to a king suite, & received a text that our room was ready while driving to the property. The area around the hotel had numerous restaurants to choose from. The breakfast in the morning had many choices, all very good.

Clean and comfortable room, nice staff. Mostly delightful breakfast buffet.

Breakfast was very nice with one exception. There was no sliced bread, English muffins, or biscuits. The only non-sweet bread was bagels. I would have liked some toast with my eggs.

Televisión in my room was old and the remote control was useless, it only worked to turn on TV and volume. Got an additional remote from front desk but it didn't worked neither. Old palm tree branches are covering the front entrance sign. .... needs some landscaping.

Check in was hilarious. It took two women as one had fake lashes so long she would not put on her glasses and needed assistance from a co-worker to read our information. No water bottles offered like at prior Marriotts. Bed, bathroom and breakfast were good!

Other than the slow checkin, all good!
