Holiday Inn Resort Pensacola Beach, an IHG Hotel

The room was very comfortable. We had the most beautiful view from our balcony. There was a large, beautiful pool between the hotel and the beach. It had a lazy river that the children loved. They even put up a big screen, at night, and the children watched a movie from the pool. It is a very family-friendly hotel. We liked the fact that there was an on-property restaurant for when we didn't want to go out. One of the best things about our stay was the friendly, helpful staff....always smiling.

The restaurant food was a bit pricey. It would have been nice to have a larger menu selection, too. It was convenient though. That's really our only negative issue. Everything else was wonderful.

Nice staff. Wonderful waiter at Riptides. Beautiful resort. Clean facility. Might could use a deep clean of dusting/behind furniture but other than that..awesome place!

Well there was music playing until 10pm right by our window from the bar area as well as some ongoing buzzer that constantly buzzed. If it weren't for white noise on YouTube, I wouldn't have slept. Neighbors were yelling, upstairs was stomping and running up and down the isles until at least 2 a.m. woke up around 8 to loud music again, but overall we still had a great time.

We loved the layout of the hotel. Everything was right there! The pool, the beach and the pool bar. Then inside they have Riptides, the restaurant, which we ate at many times, Heidi was great there. There is a bar there also, and Blake took great care of us there. We had hand scooped ice cream from the little shop just off from the restaurant! And there is a little gift shop too! We didn't have to leave the property if we didn't want to!

Our room did get missed being freshened up with new towels one of the four days we were there. But I called and fresh towels were brought right up.

It was SO CLEAN! The staff were so nice and respectful. BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING ! The chef deserve the biggest raise they can get omg. It was my first beach trip and it did not disappoint AT ALL❤️. Will def book again through booking and go to the same hotel. I was on the 11th floor and the room was beautiful. Def should update the pictures online because they are more modern than the pictures online. Very very nice!

We had to pay for the umbrellas at the beach hourly, but it rained and wasn’t able to get a refund for the hour we didn’t use. That’s the only negative I can think of, other than that it was truly an AMAZING experience

Great location, lazy river, mermaids, pirates (theatrical) fighting, employees, amazing view, crystal clear blue water, clean beaches, white, fine and cool sand.

Parking is $15, there was a significant wait time for the included breakfast in the restaurant which was ~45 mins (we arrived at 8:15am), to use an umbrella with 2 loungers on the beach for one hour is $20 or $60 for the entire day. For the price of the hotel this should be included. Side note: This is nothing having to do with the property itself per se, but the waves coming in, even on the shore seemed to stronger and higher than most beaches I've been to. To the point, even as a 6' 225lb male I found it almost impossible to sit on the beach where the waves just barely came up to without a wave hitting me in the face nearly every time. This might be an issue with children under 4' tall. per se,

The lazy river was great! They had just enough tubes to not have it crowded and some guest brought in their own. I didn’t bring kids but there were mermaids and pirates interacting with the guests. I noticed there were movies played out by the pool a few nights of my stay. The rooms were as described and the staff was very attentive! I didn’t have breakfast but did order room service and the portions were a nice size. Perfect access to the beach from the pool.

The drinks could have been better which I only had from the bar outside near the pool. There is a liquor store conveniently next door but I didn’t visit. There is complimentary water at the pool which was nice!

Breakfast was great. The only thing i didn’t like was that i was charged for changing my meal choice. I ate the same thing everyday but i wanted an extra egg but not the potatoes so they wouldn’t get wasted and they charged me

I had a small situation the first night. A worker tried to come in my room at 11 pm demanding our name and saying that our room was supposed to be empty. Now i had to show my ID twice before i ever got the key to the room so we were not pleased about that at all. Two women and a strange man trying to come in. If i hadn’t had the metal bar locked he would have been in on us before we knew it

Loved beach access, access to on-site restaurant, and our room was nicely sized. The staff was amazing! Everyone we encountered was super helpful and friendly!

Due to covid, rooms weren't cleaned daily. I understand need for safety, and when we needed towels, one of the super helpful, friendly staff at the desk personally brought towels to our room. One suggestion is having a place for guests to deposit full trash bags, as the trashcan in our floor's ice/vending area was often full, due to everyone emptying their room trash.

Lazy River, pool, restaurant, and location were great.

The room was very small and crowded for a family of 4. The maid didn't clean our room the 4th day. All she did was leave towels. I reported to the desk that our sheets weren't changed and our room wasn't cleaned. The maid then came back and only changed the sheets, didn't clean the room. I didn't get a receipt for my stay. I was told Booking.com would have to provide it. No idea what I was charged.

Room was cleaned daily if you wanted it. Food was very good and the service from everyone was outstanding! the pool could be cleaned with net halfway through the day because it is really nasty by the end of the day. People were everywhere checking to see if everything was good. So nice!

I think for the size of the resort everything over all was great. It is a great place for families. Enjoyed that you can get a meal anytime of the day.
