Days Inn by Wyndham Sarasota I-75

I'm a Gideon (you know, the ones who put Bibles in hotel rooms), and having seen the good, bad, and ugly side of hotels in my own city, this hotel is a great choice for those looking for a place to stay on a budget. The room was clean, everything was in working order, there were no bugs, and the staff were friendly. The location is very convenient and seems quite safe, numerous stores and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel, including but not limited to 7/11, Circle K, Publix, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Beall's, Office Max, Burger King, Waffle House, Applebee's, a mom and pop restaurant called Geckos which is really good, a mom & pop pharmacy, a Chinese restaurant, an Italian restaurant, and some kind of a medical center. The bed was quite comfortable, and the sheets were in good repair. Breakfast includes self serve waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, and juice. The internet connection is sufficient to stream HD video and work on online college courses (I'm a college student with a full time job; this trip was work related but I still had to work on my courses). I don't know what the authors of the poor reviews expect from a lower priced hotel considering I've personally seen similarly priced motels in my own city in Florida that had cigarette butts and other garbage in the drawers (where Gideons put the Bibles) because apparently housekeeping never opens them, and this place was pristine compared to those places.

It is an older facility, and comes with problems you might expect from an older facility. The bathroom sink was cracked. The room smelled a little musty. The room phone went dead while I was talking to someone for some bizarre and unusual reason. I never received the wake up call I requested. But these issues are really not that big of a deal for the price. I once stayed at a competing chain's (slightly more expensive) facility in Tallahassee and if you want to see a facility in poor repair, you should see that place.

Good location- easy access to interstate and beaches, restaurants galore Room was very clean and not a single bug in sight. Just having came from Orlando where our stay was consumed by killing bugs and having to shake out all of our belongings before racing out of the infested hotel we stayed out there, to not see even an ant in our room here was extremely nice and made the first part of our vacation a distant memory thus we got to enjoy our second half so much more.

The only thing negative we can say, which isn’t the hotels fault is that apparently someone staying at the hotel decided it was okay to let their children run up and down the halls late into the evening which was extremely noisy.

Nice that they have a pool, girl that checked us in was really pleasant but the night time guy with the pony tail clearly hates his job, acted like he was miserable just to be at work and do his job.

Didn't expect a hotel in the parking lot of a gas station, I knew it was right of the highway, but for the price I expected a little better, this is a $79 a night hotel at best, we paid a lot more.... breakfast was a joke, they will blame covid🙄, too many undesirable types hanging out in the parking lot back by the pool, saw 1 person sleeping in a black pickup truck for the 2 days we were there. Lots of garbage laying around.

Issues were taken care of.

i prefer talking with a person in the office, not through a machine kiosk. Wanted to extend our stay, but were told we would have to go through the same method of our original method of making a reservation, which was on the computer.

I didn't like the fact that they can book your room even though you haven't checked out yet that doesn't make any sense to me cuz what if I wasn't here to get my s*** and I was at work but it is what it is s*** happens other than that it was a great place to stay

The clean bright airy room, always having hot water and comfortable bed. The coffee was very good. Breakfast choices were good. Maybe add a choice of breakfast sandwiches'. Add ashtrays to outdoor smoking area. People were throwing cigarettes butts every where.

The tubs should have non-slip strips. I found it very slippery.

The people were very helpful the app was very easy to get a hold of and it was very clean and that's what I like I like to see that the rooms are clean there's fresh towels and you can walk around without any shoes on I didn't have to worry about getting my feet dirty

Made me feel very comfortable and gave me a place to sleep and to go to work the next day very happy for that and the coffee was good I didn't get to eat no breakfast cuz I left so early

Clean and comfy beds and linens. I think they hotel is in a remodeling/decorating transition but the furniture and draperies were well worn.

Location was okay off 75 but finding the way in among the many different businesses was a maze and chancey with traffic.

I liked the speedy check-in and check-out. The hotel was quiet.

Housekeeping came knocking on my door an hour before check-out time. I was naked and had to run to the door so she wouldn't open it. Housekeeping should not disturb until check-out time.

The room was great and the morning desk clerk was very nice.

The desk clerk when I checked in told me it was a different price then what I was given on the hotels.com website. I told him I had never heard of that and he was extremely rude. He was also rude to the other family we had with us when they checked in.
