Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tampa-Rocky Point Island, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was good. Server was very nice. Front desk was nice. Shower was amazing. Loved the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided by the hotel. The restaurant next door was very good and we ate there several times. Hotel was quiet at night.

Room needed to be vacuumed when we checked in, it wasn't a huge deal so we didn't say anything to staff. Towel rack by the toilet was loose and fell several times, but there were other places to hang towels.

The checkin lady was awesome, very personable and prompt. The accidentally gave us the wrong room (2 beds instead of king). She got us fixed and in correct room asap. It was quiet. Room was nice size and bed was so comfortable.

We had to get keys update 3 times. We got our room but got called back to desk because the system switched us to another room but then when we went to that room it wasn't a king so we had to go for another room. It wasn't awful, and the clerk was very prompt so it wasn't a big deal. The TV didn't work. We weren't able to get a late checkout; they said they were fully booked so wasn't possible.

Hotel was very clean, no weird smells, staff was welcoming, pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast had great choices, hot, fresh, lots to eat and didn't ran out. Was able to check in early and deposit was only $25 unlike some hotels that hold upto 200. Lots of available parking for free was also a plus.

There wasnt much to say that I didnt like except the hotel isn't really walking distance to any fast food except Bahama breeze next door. But that's not the hotels fault lol.

Hotel clerks were pleasant, as well as the staff. Great location, and very nice views. Restaurant next door was awesome.

They picked us up at the airport which was very helpful and got us back there at the end of our trip. We enjoyed the hot breakfast each morning and the coffee all day. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfy, and the room was very nice.

We didn’t get a room with a view of the water, and I thought the hotel was on a beach. However, it was only a short walk to the beach. The pool was a little small, and unfortunately there was construction going right next door which interrupted the peace and quiet. Also, they seem to be having trouble with the air conditioning. They are in the process of getting new ones. It was a little warm part of the time. The elevator was also a little sketchy. The button on the first floor wasn’t working very well.

Overall stay was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very professional and friendly. Liked the location. It was great to have a restaurant next door. Also nice and close to airport and easy to access highway route 60. Breakfast was great! Pool area although not huge was adequate and clean.

Overall condition of lobby, rooms and elevator etc could use some updating. Carpets and window curtains seemed quite worn.

The location was beautiful, right beside the bay, the room was clean and comfortable.

There were no coffee pods in the room, but that is a minor detail...

as we were checking out the elevator broke down and while this isn’t a huge deal, it was inconvenient. We had to carry all of our items down from the 3rd floor.

Clean rooms, good location, good view.

The bed was hard as a rock. Night staff seemed grumpy.

Breakfast was good and conveniently located.
