The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas Tampa

The location of the Godfrey is great! I prefer the waterside, as it's a nice view & much quieter than the parking lot side. I always enjoy going to WTR next door, the food is good and so are the parties

When I initially checked in, we were given a room that had a sliding glass door that wouldn't open and there was a lot of rust and dirt in the shower. It seems like the folks downstairs don't exactly know what the room conditions are like. When we moved to a different room, things were better, but the tub was still pretty ick. I think the cleaning crew needs some follow-up; they don't sweep the balconies or clean the tubs very well- my balcony had water leaking from the AC going across it, with balled up hairballs and cigarette butts on it. Pretty gross. I expect more from The Godfrey.

Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Bonus-the view from the hotel over the bay was awesome!

The bathroom was filthy! The shower was stained with dirt, there was black curly hair around the corners of the shower (I'm blonde) and the washcloths had black curly hair woven through the fibers. I stopped by the front desk Thursday night to get the bathroom cleaned, but no one came up. I was told when I visited the front desk that I was supposed to request the cleaning service (this was not mentioned when I checked in). No one came and I used a dirty shower for two days :/ Not great.

The hotel is very convenient to everything in Tampa because of its proximity to the interstate. However, being situated on the water in the causeway way, it is like a mini-retreat or escape from Tampa. The rooms are very nice in terms of size and have a private balcony overlooking the water.

The morning after the first night's stay, the toilet overflowed into the room. Maintenance work right away to clean up the water. However, when I returned that evening, the toilet did not flush, the room smelled, and dirty towels were left behind from the cleanup. They put me into a different room which was fine, but I would have expected them to be able to clean up and fix the original room during the day when I was gone.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Complimentary water bottles were provided to us. The room and facilities were clean. The room was a comfortable size. The bed was comfortable.

The pool closed too early. The room didn't have enough outlets for our electronics. There were loud people playing music too early in the morning on the balcony. The shower and toilet were out dated and uncomfortable. The water took forever to drain when showering. The cabanas were not part of the hotel pool itself, so we were unable to utilize one until "WTR cafe" was open.

When I arrive in Tampa. I called the hotel and Ms. Gabby the front desk agent sent Mr. Fred the shuttle driver to pick me up. The hotel is about 10 min from the hotel which is nice. The location was amazing and at the price. I love the waterfront location. This is definitely a go to place in Tampa. My room decor was nice. The bed was very comfortable and those pillows will put you to sleep. Great water pressure. Overall my stay was great

The hotel itself needs a little TLC. The carpet in the hallways and in the entrance to the pool could use a good cleaning. New lighting in the hallway and new doors to the rooms.

It’s so elegant looking inside and out … The staff when checking in were very nice people… just alone by itself the name of the hotel Godfrey hotel was a plus for us..while looking for a room that night on our 7th Wedding Anniversary. we came across this hotel. which is my Husband first Name Godfrey. we were excited. an when we got there.. It definitely wasn’t a bad choice …we will book there anytime in advance when we come to Tampa … We are booking at Godfrey hotel Cabanas Tampa for now on. We love it there

I love the floor that we were on it had a very very beautiful view of the Bay I couldn't ask for anything else it was the amazing trip me my wife and my son and my father-in-law we are very very much enjoyed ourself I can't wait to do it again and I will recommend the Godfrey Hotel in Cabana in Tampa to everybody they are very very very professional and a very very good hotel

There is nothing to say that I didn't like everything was awesome so I liked everything I'm very happy with everything

The service from the staff was wonderful. We were given a room that was not in the best condition and one of the front desk staff allowed us to switch rooms with no problem. Great customer service. The view of the water was also amazing.

Not many restaurants available within walking distance of the hotel property.

The room was fantastic. the view was amazing. the staff was great. I recommend this place for a couple just trying to get away and relax. Highly recommend staying up for and watching the sunset or sundown.

we paid 20% Gratuity for chicken strips and fries. we spent $55 for something that should have been the most $28 this is not including the tip we gave the waiter. I feel that Gratuity should be for parties bigger than 6. not just 2 people that order one meal. Besides that. the staff was amazing and the food was great.

Nice atmosphere

Didn't like the transportation service in the afternoon. The driver never answers the phone .The only way I manage to catch a ride one afternoon is when I saw him pulling in and he dropped us off.But he never answered the phone for a pick up so I had to catch a lyft back. The morning driver Fred was great because if he was busy he would answer the phone and let you know what was going on.And ask do you want to wait or try other transportation. Thank you Fred.
