Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Atlanta Downtown, an IHG Hotel

There was a problem with the bathroom sink stopped up, but I called and reported it. We were offered another room immediately. We accepted another room and all was well. Customer service was great and responsive. The breakfast was very good, fresh, and hot. Customer service in the breakfast area was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. The valet parking was a plus. The two young gentlemen was very nice and helpful. It was relatively quiet and I was able to get a good night sleep.

There was a roach crawling on the night stand. It was moving slow so I was able to kill it. The elevators are quite small, but that was okay.

The staff was excellent. Very professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

The staff was amazing. Never have I encountered such wonderful service at a hotel. The room was extremely clean and the valet people were top notch friendly. The 3 people we encountered at the desk during our 3 day stay were exceptional. This by far has been the best hotel experience I've ever had. It was within a very reasonable walking distance from Atlanta's Mart and some restaurants.

The lobby was very warm, but that was only brief moments I had to deal with that. My 2 keys also had issues working, but the staff was great fixing that problem.

I was only there for one night but staff was very friendly during check-in (and also during check-out). That was very important to me at that point, because I was travelling alone from Europe and just had a weird experience in a previous hotel in New Orleans, which was pretty uncomfortable. I was relieved that staff here was welcoming, helpful and caring. Appreciate it! I never realized how important that is, but it is. It means a lot and it feels so much more safe, so thank you for that! I was also happy with the room, location and breakfast.

Very clean place to stay for family. Very clean washroom . Towels , linens, bed sheets very clean. The staffs are very sweet and co-operating always. Staffs are very helpful. Breakfast was good though same thing almost everyday. The Hotel is located at a prime area in downtown. The Sentinel Olympic park , World of Coca-Cola, Aquarium were all few minutes walking distance from the Hotel. Overall experience was very good and more than expectations.

Nothing to write bad

The breakfast was better than I would expect from what is rated as a 2-star hotel. That was easily 3-star hotel level breakfast. The service was acceptable as well.

Room was a little run down. They were doing renovations on some rooms while I was there, so I guess they're at least aware of the problem and they're fixing it.

rooms were small yet cozy. not sure if it was the manager, but she saw us in the elevator and asked if my son got to take something out of the treasure box, when I said no she told us to come with here to the front desk and allowed my three year old to pull a gift from the box and he was excited about that!

parking cost was a little hard, especially with the front desk not really giving information about this as assistance to us as out of town customers. Also, we didn’t receive any greeting when we first came in, the staff were having their own conversation up front with the cleaning staff and we were just standing there waiting for assistance for some time.

It’s breakfast, location which is most walking distance and friendly & helpful staff.

I like overall the property but the way Booking.com where I booked for twin bed since I’ll be sharing room but when we reached the hotel they gave us one Queen bed. After almost 24 hours of travel I can no longer argue. Just to go to our assigned room.

Very close to a lot of what downtown Atlanta has to offer. The free breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Shout out to the cook! She kept everything fresh, stocked, and delicious. The entire staff for the entirety of our stay was super nice and helpful. Everything we needed help with, the staff helped with immediately. Everyone who worked Dec. 23- Dec. 27 deserves a raise. We weren’t able to get everyone’s names, but shout out to RiRi, Marcus, Dekeshia, Stephanie, and Vickers. And shout out to everyone who was great who’s names we didn’t get.

Plumbing needed updating, but the hotel was renovating, so I’m pretty sure they’re fixing any and all issues related to the hotel.

The location is great. Many places are in the area for entertainment and eating. We went to Mercedes Benz arena and this location was excellent. Breakfast was included and was very good with a hot meal and options for any type of breakfast really.

Cleaning could be a little better. Eating area had a LOT of fruit flies and tables needed to be wiped off better.
