Sonder The Broughton

Excellent location although a wee bit of a trek to the car park when managing luggage. Although we could have used the back entrance it was not easy to negotiate after a long drive from Albany, Georgia in rainy weather. Very good communication regarding key codes and instructions. We had a problem with plumbing, reported it and it was rectified very quickly. Great apartment with all amenities you could need. Will certainly use Sonder again. This was our first experience.

We were advised to access an online link to obtain reduced parking prices. The link to Parkit did not work, when we contacted Sonder they were very helpful, but could not solve the problem. Next day went to the parking lot and a helpful lady staff member advised that Parkit did not have an agreement any longer. Consequently we had to pay full price for our 4 night stay, had a lot of unnecessary worry and concern in an unfamiliar environment. Could easily have spoilt our holiday, luckily it didn’t!

Great location near the river, downtown and all the gorgeous squares. Easily within walking distance of Forsyth Park. So nice to have our own little apartment. I like Sonders and have stayed at a few.

I thought the location and the property were excellent. The decor is lovely and it was spacious and comfortable. the unit was stocked with everything we needed (and more). I would definitely stay here again.

my only complaints and none of these are deal breakers: the place smelled a little musty (old building). The door between the bedroom and the bathroom was broken and unusable- but there was a second door so it wasn’t a big issue. There definitely was some noise from the street (your on a busy street with nightlife) and you can hear everything within the building as well. we were able to sleep through it all- but good to know before booking. Lastly, we saw a huge cockroach (it’s the south). I alerted the staff at Sonder and they were responsive immediately. They sent someone over immediately to spray and gave me a discount on the room. All in all these were small things and I found the folks at Sonder to be very responsive and professional when we needed them.

Everything was in walking distance. The room was nice and has everything you need. Great vacation

Parking was only thing that could be a problem but we figured it out.

The location was fabulous, it was spacious and very clean. It was spacious, more like an apartment than a hotel room, so we didn’t feel cramped and we had terrific amenities (full kitchen, washer/dryer).

Our place needed some attention, the toilet paper holder came out of the wall, the kitchen faucet was not attached to the counter, the floors were ridiculously creaky (very old building which added some charm but also some quirks), windows were really dirty, so couldn’t look down to the streets and people watch.

Only drawback was the keypad on front door. Had trouble for three days, buttons were sticking. Reported it on third day and it was better. Plus in website need 2 places for telephone number. Changed sim card, so home number could not send confirmation messages. Had to phone to get help. Other than that great stay. Like salt and pepper, toiletries, little details that mean a lot. Loved the sleep machine, so.much, going to buy one.

The location is IDEAL. The apartment itself is super spacious, kitchen is fully equipped, bathroom and shower are clean, and the best part was the amenities (washer and dryer came in super handy, so did the iron and ironing board). The Raku TV makes everything you want to watch accessible, the dining table doubles as a desk if you need to do some work, and the back entrance with the elevator is a game changer if you have heavy luggage.

truly nothing. I was apprehensive because many reviewers had complained about the noise but I slept like a baby!

Location was amazing! The room was very very clean when we arrived. Parking was a little bit of a hassle due to the rates changing because of St. Patrick’s day later in the week but the customer service number to get it fixed by Steve was excellent and he resolved it easily. The room had everything we needed for our stay and I wish I would have packed a cooler with some food to save on some nights out and to make breakfast in the mornings. The coffee provided was good as well.

The only minor complaints I had would be the elevator loading area in the rear and the elevator itself could use a good cleaning. The lights in the apartment were a bit dimmer than I’d have at home leaving a lack of good lighting. The last thing which is pretty typical of any city apartment was the lack of water pressure but even with these minor “complaints” I’d still stay here again.

Breakfast? Don't think breakfast was offered. The location was excellent, close to loads of restaurants and bars. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we wanted to go. The apartment was nice and big and modern. The mattresses were very comfortable, and the showers were nice. When we had a problem with the first apartment, they got us moved right away.

The first apartment we were in had the strong smell of burnt plastic, maybe it was an issue of the electrical. I think that is something someone should have caught, had anyone asked the cleaning staff to pay attention to stuff like this. We were disappointed in the quality of the furnishings. Perhaps at one point Sonder had a high standard but now they seem to have a small budget for interior decorating. Furnishings were flimsy and falling apart. Also, bar chairs were purchased for the kitchen counter rather than counter stools. Bar stools are too high for the counters. You can tell that decorating was done cheaply and quickly.

The location was impeccable. Right in the heart of all the cool things. Walking distance to just about everything and also about 50’ from the free shuttle stop that goes around the whole city - FOR FREE. I parked my car in the parking garage a couple blocks away and my daughters and I walked everywhere, even when it was raining, AN ADVENTURE! I wish I got more pictures of the space, but honestly, the pictures on the post are very accurate and a much better representation of what the space looks like.

I honestly can’t say anything negative or even constructive. I was so very impressed with the place because it meshed the Airbnb idea and a hotel stay perfectly.
