Location awesome, breakfast hreat

The house keeper was rude and made us feel like she was mad about taking our trash when I offered to empty ourselves as well as rude when asked for a hand towel.

The hotel was very cozy and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great each morning and the location made it very easy for us to walk around Savannah and see the River, Squares and much more.

We arrived in the dark so finding the main entrance and figuring out parking was a bit confusing.

Location is very convenient, easy to get around, walking distance to Trolley Tours, restaurants, shopping and bars. The room was clean and comfortable, would only recommend more comfortable pillows.

Parking was extra per night and rooms did not have bottle of water. Breakfast choices was reasonable but the coffee was not that great.

Property is solid and well maintained and furnishings are high quality. Location is convenient to Savannah Visitor Center. Breakfast was better than the Covid norm.

Hotel is desperately understaffed (front desk, housekeeping, laundry, switchboard). Hotel could not check us in until nearly an hour after the already late check in time (4 PM). Housekeeping was overstretched (no plastic cups in our room; behind in readying rooms), and even laundry, or laundry service, was struggling: we were told the reason for the long delay was insufficient linen from laundry. Staff did the best they could and were courteous but were overwhelmed. Covid fallout? — but this was June, tine to fix the problem. Another issue: we booked via Trip Advisor and were presented at the property with an extra ambush $20+ parking charge, unmentioned on Trip Advisor and hard to find anywhere in advance.

Great location, good breakfast, clean room

Check-in was at 4pm and when we arrived at 6pm, the room was not ready yet. We were told it would be another 20 minutes. After about 5 minutes we were offered an accessible room that was ready so we didn’t have to wait. It was a nice room and bigger than what we had booked, but had no shower curtain which made showering difficult to do without getting water on the floor. We asked if we could get a curtain put on but housekeeping never came to do it. So we managed without one. Not the end of the world, but it made it less comfortable.

Lovely comfortable hotel. Our room was huge! A little dated but mostly the bathroom. The bed linen and towels were all lovely. I LOVED the fact that they don't service the room every day unless you ask them to. I am always conscious about the amount of bed linen and towels that get unnecessarily replaced every day. There was a microwave in the room!! Huge bonus as we bought back some takeaway and able to reheat. Fridge and access to an ice machine another Huge bonus! The pool area was so well kept and the pool lovely. I swam every day (for exercise) and my husband was very happy lolling by the side of the pool. The breakfast buffet was really good and another huge bonus was that coffee was available in the lobby area which was great when we had a very early start on checkout. The hotel is right on the edge of the "historic district" (in our view) but an easy walk to the main areas. Absolutely loved Savannah and when we visit again, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The reception staff member was quite preoccupied when we arrived. We had had a 14 hour journey so would have liked a warm welcome (which we got in spades from the Savannah locals!)

The hotel is very clean we really like the breakfast location very comfortable staff was great. I was hoping to get grits at the breakfast buffet and they never had grits so I was shocked about that! I had lived in Charleston some years ago and had grits every morning for breakfast breakfast buffet otherwise was excellent

Hampton charged me more than price quoted by booking.com. I did mention to the manager and it was only a $10 difference but I guess it’s the principle of us-I will be calling to resolve that. My suggestion for Hampton Inn is to have big pitchers of water instead of the coffee bar - was hard to get water and you’re always dehydrated - would have been nice to have pitchers of water at the breakfast bar also - they have a vending machine to get water we put money in and the bottles of water didn’t come out staff was notified and they did give us a couple bottles of water. There were no restaurants very close by & the Hampton Inn is located on very busy corner. You had to walk about 10 minutes to River street for main restaurants

It was our first time in Savannah, beautiful city with a lot of history! We stayed Dec. 23-25. It was beautiful and cold. The breakfast was really good. All the menus had a variety of eggs, fruits, ham or bacon, etc. that varied each day. All were good. My husband and our three teens enjoyed them as well. Having breakfast was very very convenient. The location was excellent, near to everything, walking distance. The parking is ($23/day) less than most of the hotels I checked before booking. We stayed in a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. It was very big and comfortable. Everybody, the staff and the people staying were nice.

I liked everything... just the coffee and oatmeal were not awesome, but that is a personal preference. I like strong coffee. The hotel is very comfy and nice. Our room had a problem with the toilet which never filled up the tank so water was running constantly. It worked well, and didn't overflow or anything. It was just that it was wasting water resources for the hotel.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Their dinner recommendations were wonderful and appreciated. The breakfasts were good and the food fresh. The location was good - just down the street from the tram and an easy Uber pick-up. I would return.

The price of the rooms is high. I understand that there is a shortfall of cleaning staff, and if we needed someone they came, but it was a high price to pay and have to ask to have the bathroom cleaned, trash out, or for clean towels.
