Motel West

Pleasant motel at a good price that allowed pets with a reasonable fee. Not fancy, but had all the things you need and more. Our room was clean, and the queen size bed was comfy. The room had a fridge and microwave. It was a real bonus to have an indoor pool and hot tub. We had an excellent breakfast at O’Brady’s diner, just a 5 minute walk from the motel. This is a great budget option in Idaho Falls, just a short drive to the historic downtown, and River Walk area. I would definitely recommend this motel.

It’s a small thing, but there is only one lamp next to the bed, and I would have liked a second one, so each of us could have had a reading light.

Like an old friend, this place isn't perfect but it's reliable and comfortable. I've been here many times and always had decent stays. I'm sad that they got rid of their breakfasts which were great but the motel is still a good deal and a nice place to take a break. Beds are very comfortable, room is generally clean, nice size TV, easy parking, pretty good amenities in the bathroom, nice storage/dresser area, and overall a pretty good location as far as amenities and getting to the freeway or getting around Idaho Falls. Rooms have blackout curtains, which is nice.

The crowd here can be a little rough and a little noisy and that was the case this time also

The room was very clean! There were no streaks on the mirror, no rust stains on the fixtures, even the corners of the walls were clean. The bed was comfortable. The mini fridge was spacious and kept everything cold. The hairdryer looked new, was very powerful, and was clean.

The only issue with the room was the on/off shower faucet was very difficult to use. It took a lot of tugging to turn on the water. I reported this to the desk and the lady at the counter acknowledged it was a known issue. The hallways were somewhat in need of cleaning but the room was spotless.

Every single thing about this little motel is agreeable for us. My husband and I enjoy taking a local and overnight "stay-cation" now and again. We have stayed at Motel West 3 times for this purpose. The rooms are clean, the sheets are soft and there is an abundance of hot water for showers. The front desk staff is always kind and considerate and very helpful. This is an older motel but it is, as I mentioned, very clean and accommodates our needs. Motel West exceeds our expectations as an affordable choice for our needs and we look forward to future stays at this lovely little motel.

Mostly clean room. When I asked housekeeping to clean something specific in the bathroom, she was nice and obliged right away. Comfortable beds. Great, friendly staff. A/C worked great. Mini fridge was also useful since breakfast is no longer included. Great location, It is close to everywhere we needed to go.

The bathroom had mold on the wall above the tub, which housekeeping took care of, after I asked them to. Paint was also peeling and falling off of the ceiling in the bathroom above the tub and next to the light/fan. Also, the key cards kept deactivating even though we were sure to keep them away from electronics. Though the staff was friendly and rescanned them for us every time.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place is, for such a reasonable price! Our room was nothing fancy but had everything we needed, comfortable and quiet. And I loved that we could open the window and have fresh air instead of AC.

Breakfast was ok but could have been better, concentrating more on healthy, good food. Less choices but better food. The breakfast room was way too small for the number of people using it, not enough tables and not enough room between tables.

Conveniently Located. This is an older property, but the rooms were clean and perfectly comfortable. The staff was very accommodating relative to my request to park my truck at their property for nine days.. They understood I was unloading my motorcycle for a 9 day road trip. They requested to hold my truck keys and put it in the safe for me, while also requesting that I park my truck in view of the front office. What great service

The bed beds were very comfortable. The rooms had the perfect chill on a hot July day. The rooms were clean and smelled freshly clean but not of strong cleaning agents. We have not been here for a few years. We had stopped staying here because we had quit smoking and most of the rooms smelled of smoke and the hotel was seeming more run down. We live out in the middle of nowhere and Idaho falls is our closest Walmart so we had stayed here a lot the first six of the last ten years. We were coming in for the fourth with our six kids and wanted the best value for two rooms with beds to sleep in so figured why not. We were really impressed with the improvements and that the hotel is now nonsmoking. Our stay was more pleasant than anytime we have stayed anywhere else in town short of a bed and breakfast.

Let’s see here the only thing was there wasn’t an extra roll or toilet tissue in the room and we ran out after four females used the restroom after a long trip. Getting another was no big deal.

The location was great for us. We asked to use a table in the breakfast room and they were very accommodating. We always stay there when we come to idaho falls, always had a great room.

The room was clean when we checked in. The problem was with the bed, it was so soft, very hard to sleep in. I had already got things put away for the week or I would have asked to be moved. When we asked to have the room cleaned, we got clean towels, but I don’t think she did the floor. We will stay there again but will ask for a different room.

What a pleasure it is to find a motel close by our home here in western WY that's so intuitively hospitable and welcoming. One can very much feel the warmth, care and attention that for obvious reasons one will never encounter in a chain motel. There must surely be many of us who return gratefully to your motel or will now that we know about it. Thanks for doing this!
