Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago-Midway Airport, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. The breakfast was really good too.

I didn't like that when I got there I had to pay for parking to be able to park on premises but all the parking spots were taken so I still had to park somewhere else and walk to the hotel. That was a bit annoying. Also, the breakfast was good, but some of the staff were a little rude when they were refilling some of the food. I overheard one of them telling someone that breakfast was done and they were changing trash, so please don't use it. Even though they were still technically serving breakfast for another 10 minutes. I thought that was rude of them. I think they were a little overwhelmed with the amount of guest staying there that weekend due to the taylor concert. Also you could hear room service talking in the hall outside our room about the other rooms and stuff people have left.

Very clean, good location to the airport, great places to eat around hotel.

The attendee checking me in asked if I had a car that needed a parking pass and that would be 25.00. I was surprised and asked if that was required and she snapped and said "well, you can park on the street, but you will get your car towed. And its not very safe around here to just leave it, so yeah, to park here you have to pay the money. I told her when we park our car to ride the shuttle to airport, its only 9.50. But if I spend 175.00 for a room to stay there it cost 25.00. Doesnt seem proper to me. And I think that should be emphasized somewhere. Plus, I had to wait 10 minutes to check in and I was the first in line at around 3:30 p.m. there was a line behind me. No apologies, just very little professional behavior.

Very convenient location for shuttle service to and from airport

When I arrived I called from the airport (Chi Midway) to see if the rooms was ready and I asked “Are you here and I needed to be at the hotel because it’s first come first serve!” Then I arrived at the hotel not even 30 minutes later to be told nothing was ready. Only issue I wish I was told the rooms wasn’t ready or I wouldn’t have rushed to come straight to the hotel and the fact I was told first come first serve when my card was charged the full price the week prior to was confusing to me.

The bed was so comfortable. Usually when I stay in a hotel it is not. I got the best sleep. The whole family loved the update look to the room. Especially the long bar under the tv so that our bags didn't have to be on the floor. Not sure what that was called, but it's a big plus.

The staff wasn't helpful when we asked how to get around the city. We didn't rent a car and wanted information on what our options were. We were able to look it up, but we were surprised that they didn't understand our question. They were friendly and helpful otherwise for all hotel needs.

Clean, comfortable rooms in a convenient location close to Chicago Midway Airport. Although close to the airport, it wasn't noisy. We also like the 24 hour accessibility of the hotel shuttle to and from the airport.

Have to pay extra for parking vehicle overnight. (After checking into the hotel, we returned our rental car to the airport and used the hotel shuttle to return to the hotel so as not having to pay the parking fee.)

The room was clean, and friendly staff. Its located less than 10 minutes from Midway Airport.

The shuttle was 20 minutes late picking us up. At the time we didn't realize the shuttle stops at multiple hotels. Ours was the last hotel stop before going to the airport.

When we arrived the front desk personnel put us in a room that wasn't clean, and they were going to keep us there. Immediately a housekeeping personal had us relocated in a clean room.

I did not eat, but my husband said the breakfast was good. It was served at a good time. The serving area was clean and provided a variety of options.

Overall, I don't have any complaints about the stay. I would have like to have had access to complimentary water or a fountain in the kitchen area.

Excellent location, convenient shuttle from and to the airport, clean rooms and hearty breakfast. Also close to a number of dining options.

Grab and go breakfast option for travelers with an early flight would have been great.

The location a idea and the breakfast was substantial for a jump start to get the day going. We had a spoiled milk incident during one of the breakfasts, but hopefully it was resolved; don't know if it was that particular carton, or that batch. With the exception of one person, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you.
