Chicago Marriott Midway

Very clean rooms and lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Starbucks in hotel open from 5-5. TGI Fridays in the parking lot, Culver’s across the street, and more food just down the block. The free shuttle was also a great help.

The tv was small, and picture quality wasn’t great. I didn’t see the option to stream your own subscriptions ie Netflix, Disney +, which is great when traveling with kids like I was.

Professional staff.

Congested parking lots. Given the weekend cost for stay, I will opt to stay at one of the other nearby hotels to determine if stay is comparable. Also, room 316, although very clean and tidy, some wall corners were frayed to my surprise and require bumper guards or new wall paper.. Not pleasant to the eye, compared to the rest of the hotel.

I had a problem checking in because booking.com mixed up my reservation so I had to do a walk in now what if there was no available rooms? One of the managers was not helpful but, at the end I got a manager that was willing to resolve the problem. But, I was there with business partners and overall the stay was wonderful..

The staff was pretty good. The service was wonderful. The location was convenient and efficient. The check out process was simple. The check in wasn't too bad either. The room was neat and comfortable.

The hidden deposit we had to pay. That was not outright mentioned in the purchase of our room.

Good Italian restaurant nearby just a quarter mile away. Good free shuttle service to and from the airport.

Prices higher than at O'Hare airport. We had a handicap room but it may have been because they were so booked up when we made the reservation. The overall room was fine with a good bed, but we didn't like water on the floor in the bathroom when you used the shower. Bathroom would be excellent if you needed a wheelchair.

Convenience to airport

No restaurant open but site does not tell you that. I missed my connection so had to spend the night & thought I’d get my moneys worth picking a Marriott but was disappointed. Had to walk to a restaurant bc their’s was not open. No lotion in the room. Went down to front desk to see if they had lotion (for face after washing). They had none & said bc of covid?? They have shampoo & conditioner in the room though. Had to buy a 3oz tube of cream for $4.00! Ridiculous.

Location was excellent. But the breakfast was a little pricey for what it was.

More of a selection for the breakfast. $23.00 was kind of high per person and they had no items for residen who don't eat pork

There were not enough towels, soap and shampoo in the room.. l also enjoy my coffee all evening long .. their were no k-cup pods nor a keurig machine.. And we also thought that parking was too expensive.During checkout on Sunday we waited 20 mins since there was only 1 person working at the desk.. even then if there was free coffee supplied that would have been awesome during the wait.

The concierge lounge had excellent breakfast though it should open earlier than 7am.

The concierge breakfast starts at 7. Most travelers are gone before they can enjoy the breakfast

It was clean and well organized.

We stayed on the concierge floor and were told that there was not a breakfast or any of the normal extras. We were given Starbucks coupons we were told that were good for a coffee and pasty but were actually only good for a coffee.
