Hyatt House Chicago West Loop

We liked the kitchenette in our room and the ability to make a meal if we chose to. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the location was near enough to public transit that we could walk to it and take the train wherever we needed to go.

Biggest complaint is that the breakfast in the morning was good, but often ran out quickly and we had to wait for food to be replenished. Plus often not enough utensils and we started having to bring our own from our room in order to eat our breakfast.

The suite was very accommodating for my family of 5. The pool was perfectly safe at 3'9" and the view from the workout room was great.

The traffic on the elevators was very difficult to manage. We never saw the 3rd elevator open or close and it my have been broken without a posted sign. We had to ask for extra towels and sheets for the sofa bed because they were not in the room when we arrived. The parking garage was SMALL without enough space. When we arrived we didn't know where to park and no one answered the phone from the front desk so we had to drive around downtown Chicago for a while before we found someplace to park.

the location is amazing, perfect for exploring the city and the smaller neighbourhoods. my room was a great size and had all the amenities that I needed. the staff were AMAZING, every single one made me feel welcome and were always happy to help or chat

the breakfast could have been better, often certain food ran out and there was a long wait to restock. there wasn’t a huge amount on offer for vegans, although there was almond milk. it needs to be more obvious that reception and check in is on the 3rd floor.

Large room, plenty of space for our family. Pool wasn't big, but it was a great place to relax. Kitchenette was convenient, and having a freezer was really helpful. Location is amazing, close to tons of restaurants and coffee shops as well as grocery stores. For those interested, it's basically next to Hamburger University and the "world cuisine" McDonald's.

Nighttime can get a little loud depending on the other guests, but there's not a lot that the hotel can do about that. Also the breakfast area tends to get a little messy, but that's another issue with the other guests for dropping food and not cleaning up.

everything was clean. the location was great. I was able to walk almost everywhere I needed to go. the terrace is so beautiful. breakfast & the cocktail hours are also a nice add.

the parking is misleading. it’s only one floor with about 20 spots. if people are paying $50 a night for private parking they should be able to keep their spot & if the garage is full, maybe just put a sign on the door so people know. I ended up parking in a public parking garage down the street for my stay.

The staff was very kind and helpful with a booking.com issue. They adjusted my reservation dates without issue. The hotel is also very clean and modern.

The breakfast was very chaotic. They ran out of silverware our first morning for quite a long time. Eventually a staff member brought out disposable silverware. We also got a made to order omelet but it was undercooked. This wasn’t a deal breaker for us, more of a bummer.

Room and even shower was spacious. Water was warm. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and good, and had make to order omelet, offered to go boxes and bags. Nice fitness area and pool. Staff were all friendly, smiling, and informative. Paid in and out parking with hotel stay, but garage is small, if no spot for overnight there is free parking along the streets and they would have reimbursed for the night. We stayed during the week and there was room available. Within walking distance for us to the United center, although it may not have the best choice safety wise, but we were fine. Approximately a 10 minute drive to cloud gate and parks and 20 minute drive to Lincoln park zoo or other museums. Lou Malnati’s pizzeria was a short walk away and excellent for dinner.

The guy who checked us in was extremely nice. My bag was lost so he got me set up with all my bathroom needs. The room was clean and comfy.

The cost of the parking. I like to rent a car when visiting my son (he does not have a car) help get around and do some shopping. Not only was the parking expensive, but it was first come, first served. Not sure if I would have felt comfortable parking my rental on the street.

The atmosphere is awesome. Has a pool that's great for smaller children. Has a good complimentary breakfast. Has a Outdoor Deck that's great for barbecues or watching the game because it's equipped with TVs and fire pits. It also has street parking if you get there early enough

We only stayed for a night for an event we were attending in the city. We loved everything about our stay! The check in and checkout was easy, the staff was friendly and helpful, our room was clean. The location was perfect and they are dog friendly. We brought a long our dog and she even got a treat at check in. The breakfast in the morning is convenient and it's also very nice to have the bar there inside the hotel. Will stay again. Highly recommend!
