Crowne Plaza - Chicago West Loop, an IHG Hotel

The room was large, with both a desk and a small couch, plus two beds. The was a coffee maker and small refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable, with lots of pillows. The curtain blocked the light and the glass doors blocked the sounds of traffic. The bath was very nice and essentials (soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner) plus plenty of towels were supplied. There was a microwave available by the elevator. The building has good security and the staff are both friendly and helpful.

I would like to have a full length mirror to check out my attire before I leave the room. There is a mirror but it's not full length.

Parking was easy. Rye Deli + Drink was excellent. Nice balcony. Very clean and comfortable. Our bathroom door was broken and someone came up right away to fix it.

No towel racks for bath towels. Barn doors, although attractive, don't work for bathroom privacy. Lack of a refrigerator was disappointing.

location was perfect. A nice walk to the water, close to some amazing restaurants, and a walk to the United Centre (our main reason for the visit)

parking - on the website it said it was an amenity, then I find out it's a paid parking structure across an alley. Ten when we arrived there were no parking spots, so we had to use an app which ended up causing problems when leaving. The help person I spoke to getting out of the parking garage spoke down to me.

Bed was very comfortable, our room had a balcony and was spaced comfortably away from other room balconies. Quiet hotel, no trouble with hearing guests next door to us or anything. Parking garage was RIGHT there and spaces were specific for hotel guests only. Check-in and check-out were very easy as well.

Parking in the garage costs money for hotel guests, which was not disclosed upon searching for hotels and originally booking. It just said the hotel provided parking. A few days before my actual stay I was sent a message explaining that parking was an additional $54 per day which increased the cost of my hotel bill by another $108. Wasn't expecting that.

Comfortable room, comfortable bed and bathroom. Also, good room space. Located next to Whole Foods and 15min walk from Fulton Market street restaurants.

You have to let the reception know if you want room cleaning one day in advance. The thing is that I realized I wanted trash bin or bathroom cleaning during the morning, not one day before. So I would suggest them to make this on-demand room service more efficient: you could request a soft clean service during the morning, or initially pick the "clean every day unless I tell not to" option.

Room was comfortable, even though we had a corner room on the 10th floor near I90, it was well insulated and quiet.

Even thought he hotel offered car parking, there was no valet parking. I was told by the check in man we had to park the car ourselves. This would have been okay except the car park opposite the lobby was already full when we arrived at 3:00pm and we would have to self park at the public car park 100 yds away past Walgreens on S. Halstead. This was very inconvenient as we had to retrieve the car to go out at 5:00pm and when we returned at 11:30pm, the hotel car park still showed full, so back to the other car park, lucky to get the last open space.

The rooms were a good size. The shower water got really hot. There were lots of things to do around our hotel including food, drinks, and a grocery store. The people working at the front desk were helpful!

The reason I booked this hotel was because they provided overnight parking in the city where you could go in and out as you please. I assumed that we would have a spot saved for us in the garage but when I checked in they said the garage was full. This could have been bad but luckily the gentleman at the front desk told me where there was more overnight parking.

The bed and pillows were more comfortable than I thought they'd be. The shower water stayed at a warm/hot temperature for a decent amount of time.

They just need to update the tv streaming. Reminds of growing up in the 90s- early 2000s and having to wait for the guide to start over to figure out what you want to watch. Fortunately there was only about 3 pages to go through. However, this is personal preference and was not the primary reason I was there for haha.

How polite the staff was, the cleanliness of the lobby, no fingerprints on the windows for the most part very clean property and the dove products 👌🏾👌🏾

Just minor things to be mindful of some high dusting the minor damage to the headboard and the lamp over the chair didn’t work there was one more thing couldn’t take a shower when I got there had to wait until engineering to fix the pool to the shower I forgot his name but he’s the GOAT..it’s no biggie to me because I was a inspector at my hotel and I forgot to take pictures

I stayed at this hotel because I had been flying from Denver to Chicago when my flight was delayed and I missed the Amtrak train. I booked the room on bookings.com and hadn’t really planned exactly how I would get there from O’Hare international Airport… It turned out that the blue line elevated train system would take me to Clinton Avenue where I then had to walk in the middle of the night a few blocks to reach the hotel. According to the map at the train station I did not realize that it was so far to carry my luggage. Nevertheless I made it. I was welcomed by a friendly hotel night auditor who upgraded my room To a room that had a fantastic view of the cityand offered to pay for my Dinner and the Uber driver who would bring it since there were no other places nearby that were open to get a bite to eat. Not that I couldn’t have gotten my own it was just that he was being friendly and was ordering some thing for himself and just thought that he would include me tooThe next morning the women who were working at the front desk were as equally Thoughtful and helpful and gave me a very late check out since I did not have Anywhere to be until 6 PM. The staff at the Crowne Plaza go out of their way to be helpful and they are very knowledgeable about the local area
