River Hotel

Location was amazing, price was super reasonable, there was a complimentary water bottle station which was incredibly useful.

Room was on the small side, but honestly for the location and price it was completely fine. There was also some confusion about parking where we were told there was a $25 parking lot but when we got there it was $50, but given the price of parking downtown we were still happy.

My wife (Angela) and I, as well as the couple we were traveling with, were absolutely blown away by the PHENOMENAL customer service and super friendly staff — shout out to Pedro, Ronny, Raina, Adrian and Liz ❤️ — from the moment we got there, as well as the INCREDIBLE location (close / central to everything!). CANNOT WAIT to hop on another train to come back to our now VERY FAVORITE HOTEL in CHICAGO!

The Club Quarters Wacker Hotel, formerly River Hotel, offers reasonably priced accommodations with some good amenities at an excellent downtown location. Having two bathrooms in a room with two queen beds is a wonderful luxury. Valet parking is not cheap, but it was efficient and convenient. Being close to the Chicago River makes for good walks.

The bed was a little firm for my taste, and the pillow was too soft. The rooms are close together, and the hallway noise can be pronounced outside one's door. I don't think that the hotel offers breakfasts, but I could be wrong. Still, there are excellent options nearby for food.

everything. the river hotel was awesome, I credit the staff for that. friendly, attentive staff. always greeting you before you walk out or greeting you as you walk in. the rooms were very clean, each unused room was taped shut w tape saying it had been throughly cleaned. the hotel is right on the river, right on magnificent mile. everything is so close together

That I had to come home today

The hotel is in a good location for visiting all of Chicago's sights. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was good. A member of staff responded within minutes to our questions about air conditioning and TV remote controls. Daily room service was provided on request. The bed was comfortable and there was an ample supply of good quality towels.

We stayed in a twin bedroom suite (room 414). The suite is internal and overlooks the roof of the space below. It has limited natural light, the sitting area and one of the bedrooms have no natural light. The suite needs more lighting. The kitchenette could be better equipped. A kettle and toaster would be useful.

My wife and I loved the view from our room. We could see the river and boats, bridges and kayakers, and people walking . The Trump building was right across the river. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. We loved the shampoo, conditioner, and soap. We parked in the self parking garage on Randolph. Three blocks away, but not bad walk with on suitcase per person on wheels. Plus we stayed 2 days so it was a cost savings of $23 per day. The guys at the front desk were very polite, courteous and helpful.

The speed of the elevators. Old hotel, I get it....but 41 floors gets very busy.....especially around dinner time! Our GPS had no signal on Lower Wacker Drive, so we had a hard time finding the hotel. No fault of yours, just modern technology.

This was my first ever visit to Chicago. Hotel location was great – right in the hart of downtown with beautiful river view. From this hotel I walked city centre back and forth, but in case you do not like walking, metro and Metra train station is very close to the hotel. Hotel and room qualities are very good (I booked room with river view). That hotel met all my expectation and I have already made another booking there for August to stay with my family

Nothing was wrong :)

Basically loved everything even though I was there for just one night. The check-in was very easy and the concierge and the bellhop where are friendly, very professional and greeted me with a smile. My room was on the ninth floor with a wonderful view, with only one flaw: it looked directly at the name of the former president on the side of Building opposite the hotel. The only thing I could do was avert my gaze and enjoy the rest of the view which was spectacular.

I wasn’t long enough at the hotel to add anything to this subject. From what I could tell, everything was running smoothly and noticed that the other guests who were checking in and in the lobby at times all seemed very happy with their stay.

Good size room with a fridge and coffee machine. Great idea with the water station. And free coffee all day. Friendly and helpful staff.

Everything. Great view of the river to the left and below. Location is prime for the tourist attractions all within a mile of the hotel. Food and drinks right around the corner. Room was comfortable and quiet, clean. Free chilled water bottles was a random great feature. Check in was easy, had a hiccup with room not ready but it was instantly remedied at the desk. Pulling up on the curb to check in and unload was easy, just put your hazards on and run in.

Parking can be overly expensive depending on which garage you choose nearby. Could’ve done without staring at trump tower but also not the hotels fault! Lol
