Kinzie Hotel

Great smaller hotel in a fabulous location central to everything. Magnificent mile around the corner, boat tours about 3 blocks away and lots of restaurants and shopping. No need for a car here! Rental electric bikes one block away as well. Very nice room with a small couch and comfortable bed. Would recommend staying on a higher floor if possible, because there is a lot of street noise in Chicago! Perfect stay and would definitely return.

Parking is pricey. Use Spot Hero. Was about $15/day instead of $71 a the hotel.

Kinzie Hotel is located in the heart of the city. It was close to every mode of transportation available (subway, train station, buses). Though me and my BFF chose to walk a lot of places where we went, we also chose all of the modes of transportation and were happy the transportation modes traveled everywhere we wanted to go. The physicality of the hotel was impressive. Beautiful lobby! The king size room was perfect. Very comfortable and sumptuous. The bedding was nice and the Housekeeping staff did an outstanding job of keeping the room clean daily, a service I definitely appreciate since all hotels no longer provide it. The breakfast buffest was adequate but I am not a breakfast person so I'm jaded. The evening wine "meet and greet" was really cute. We chose to go out most evenings since there are SO MANY THINGS to do in Chicago. The front desk staff were PHENOMENAL. They provided all kinds of useful information about dining, transportation, sightseeing, etc. I forgot the name of the African American woman who provided us EXCELLENT customer service on all subjects including museums, the planetarium, the aquarium and all kinds of other sightseeing tours. Oh future trips to Chicago, I will MOST DEFINITELY being staying at the Kinzie Hotel.

On my floor which it was the 5th smelled like weed even though there were signs of no smoking. I guess weed doesn’t apply. Also front desk associate Jasmine worse attitude. I requested a call from manager still no call yet, this was 02/13/2022.

Nice staff, great location. Felt security was good. Lots of restaurants and entertainment close.

Seemed like breakfast and happy hour has been downgraded as far as quality of food and drinks. Still a good variety for breakfast but the happy hour only had popcorn and pretzels (the ad on TV said variety of appetizers from local establishments and beer, wine and cocktails). There was only beer and dry wine, no cocktails or even soda. The lounge is too small to accommodate all the guests, no place to sit.

The staff was very nice. The staff, Axel, who is fluent in Japanese, was very polite and friendly. This was the best staff I have ever stayed in a hotel. Close to the downtown core and cheap parking nearby.

such a cute hotel. the rooms were clean and spacious. the couch was even comfy. the location was perfect, as it was close to the magnificent mile and just a short Uber ride to Chinatown and the United center for a concert we attended. loved how many outlets were in the room. we accidentally left some clothing in the closet and they were nice enough to email us to let us know so they can mail the items to us. i loved the free cocktail each night of our stay at the bar. and I really loved the long desk/table with the bar chair, which was great to use for when I did my makeup.

the outlets on the table on one side of our bed had issues and didn’t work. we had to call the front desk for something and the phone in the room was a regular phone that didn’t have any info on how to dial the front desk. i ended up looking up the number and using my cell to do that.

The hotel accommodated all our requests, the staff were friendly and helpful and the gym was well equipped for a hotel gym. Good that your get breakfast and evening drinks included

Breakfast whilst extensive for a continental should be topped up a bit more especially towards the end. Room should have a kettle for tea (!). Breakfast and drinks area was very tired looking. Whole hotel lacked windows and natural light

Staff were attentive and helpful. The reception was a nice touch to start the evening with a glass of wine or beer. It is also great to offer a free breakfast each day, not something many Chicago hotels offer these days. The pet area was very helpful and clean, location was excellent as far as central to River North and the restaurants.

Even with soundproofing, the road noise was noticeable in the room at all hours. Our neighbors were very active and each time they would move clothes in the closet or raise/lower the roller blind you could hear it in our room. It could be because we were on the "pet" floor and rooms are not quite as plush.

It was right downtown and was pretty close to other destinations.Definitely a convenient location. Uber, Lyft, taxi’s etc were decently priced to and from hotel when going places. Clean and comfortable and on site valet parking available.

The area where breakfast and evening social hour is kind of small, especially if alot of people show up at once. Also, sometimes you could hear other people through their rooms and outside noises. I know it is downtown and it is busy, so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
