Hampton Inn & Suites St. Louis at Forest Park

Pool was fun for the family! They have a little tote with some pool noodles and mini boards for kids to play with. Breakfast was good. They do have a waffle maker, cereal, usually some kind of meat, some form of egg, potatoes, oatmeal, and toast/bagels/muffins. My husband left two pair of shoes and they are kindly shipping them to us!

Only thing I’m docking this hotel for is you do now pay for parking. On booking.com you see some questions asking and the answers say complimentary parking but it no longer. They recently just switched that and it’s $10 a night for parking. We specifically chose this hotel because it had free parking but that was not the case when we arrived but stay was still good.

Ended up being the perfect location! We took our two littles to the Zoo the first day and to the science center the next day. We walked with our stroller being that we were only about 0.7 miles from both(right in the middle) so we didn’t have to drive or try to find parking on the busy Memorial Day weekend. Breakfast was amazing! We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and had several options including waffles, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, omelets, sausage, fruit, toast, bagels and pastries both mornings. There is even a restaurant right beside the hotel entrance. Although we didn’t use them, they also have a workout room and an indoor pool :)

Everything was great!

My kids loved the pool and the pool toys that were there for guest use. Fitness facility had great options. Thank you for putting enough towels for 5 people in the room prior to check in and having clean linens available for the sofa bed. Employees were great, they all greeted us from check in, to passing us in the hall, at the pool, and even at the breakfast area. Hotel was very close to the zoo. Great hotel, will definitely stay here again when in the St. Louis area.

We liked everything about this hotel. Although it would be nice to have larger trash cans in the rooms or extra trash can liners in the cans so we don't have to bother housekeeping or the front desk for more.

The room was large, on-site security, offered beverages. Very very clean. I booked for 3 nights but only got to stay for 1. My father passed away. The hotel contacted bookings to refund me for 2 nights since I had to leave. The staff was kind and considerate. It was a bit pricey, but I was getting the room for my mother and safety was a priority also the location near the hospital ans ease to get to the hospital. There is a couple locations near or at the hospital that I've stayed at and even tho they were cheaper, they weren't nearly as good. It's true you get what you pay for. I slept on the Sofa Bed and even it was comfortable

I was thankful for the friendly staff, even in passing on the elevator they engaged in conversation and were friendly. There is a great breakfast with a little bit of everything for everyone (the waffles and oatmeal were delicious!). The room was a great size for our family of 5, and the pool was warm and clean (though a little small and could quickly become overcrowded if a large group came in). The location was great: just a short drive into downtown and a short drive to other attractions like The Loop, the Zoo, and more.

We wish there was a hot tub (would have been relaxing to sit in after sightseeing all day). The pull out sofa bed was less than comfortable and made for a rough nights sleep for my son (but the beds were very comfortable). Not the hotels fault, but my sons swim trunks were picked up with the towels and never found.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hampton in Forest park (Feb 2021). They have a nice free breakfast. My only request would be that they allow 24 hour access to the coffee bar like other Hampton’s. We stopped at the Hampton in Memphis and there’s was out all day. I get that Covid is a thing, but I’ve never seen a long line at the coffee bar at 2 PM if you know what I mean. There is a coffee maker in the room however. The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and welcoming. They have a nice gym, and don’t forget your bathing suit if you’d like to reserve a time to swim in the indoor pool.

Housekeeping/Front Desk/breakfast staff very nice and helpful. Free and nice parking. Shared areas were clean and kept up nicely. Our room was a suite- and it truly felt like one in size.

Not a comfy mattress. Not a fan of no sink with toilet and shower. Sink was so high and deep it was impossible for kids to use and uncomfortable for a 5 foot 5 women. The little stuff made it feel a bit old...lock on bathroom door didn't work, lighting wasn't the best, tv was a bit small to see from the bedroom, carpet was old, not deal breakers.

Breakfast was excellent! The staff had everything ready and the extra seating area was helpful. I also like how there was hot tea and hot chocolate available 24/7. There was plenty of parking as well.

There was a sock and water bottle left underneath our beds when we arrived. I assume they were left by previous guests. Wish the room would have been cleaned better because that was a turnoff.

My family loved the pool and complementary breakfast. The location was great and it was easy to get to all of the attractions we visited in Saint Louis, everything was within a quick, easy drive.

Turn down service each day would have been nice. We had to call guest service to get extra towels and toilet paper. We also emptied the trash cans ourselves each day.

The staff was great, very helpful and kept the place really clean during breakfast. The food was hot and well prepared, and wasn't the usual sugar and starch continental. There were several choices for coffee and all the accoutrements! Close to lots of great things to do close by so walking and driving our car (free parking on site) fit the bill for our transportation.
