Residence Inn by Marriott St. Louis Downtown

The staff! We got checked in but there was an error on which room but was handled smoothly. The staff member working in the morning at the desk was great. He had the BEST personality! Love it! He deserves a raise. I loved that we had a dishwasher, stove, full size fridge, and real dishes in the room to use. I also loved that we had 2 bathrooms in our suite since we had 5 people. King bed was fabulous and very spacious.

Pillows need more stuffing in them. They were very flat by the morning. Also to be able to handwash the few dishes we had, can you add a brush or dish washcloth to be able to clean them. Those are the only 2 things, everything else was great!

The location was right off the highway and we could see Union Station from our room. It was only a 5 minute drive to the station and got to hang around the plaza. The suite room was exactly what I booked, and we enjoyed our stay. The restroom had toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The beds were queen size and super comfortable. Room was equipped with TV and you could sign in to various providers such as Netflix, etc. The kitchen and living room were spacious and there was another tv, work desk, and dining table. They served breakfast.

The only thing is that you could catch whiffs of recreational usage in some areas.

I expected hot breakfast like many others.

I booked this hotel because it was cheaper than others, knowing it’s not right downtown. We drove to the places we wanted to go and parking was never an issue. The hotel breakfast is big and nice. There is laundry on every other floor, which is nice since some hotels only have one. Also, the employees were very nice and helpful.

we kept having trouble with our key cards not working.

Hotel was conveniently located downtown. It was right off of the bypass. But didn’t have any issues with noise from the traffic. Could see the huge Farris wheel from our hotel. Was minutes away from everything located in the Downtown area. Hotel also has an indoor pool and a basketball court located outside. My family didn’t use either but both looked nice.

The rooms were very clean.

I think the coffee in the lobby could be a lot better. I told the one lady the coffee was cold and she said well it’s been sitting there all day. If it was me I would have offered to make new coffee. The coffee was weak. More like warm water.

I loved the room itself. I felt it was really decent for the price it was. We did have to have maintenance come up to the door because we had problems with the door but other than that it was good.

Getting to the hotel from one way was hard as hell but going the other way was easy. There was no information given to us about the hotel when we got there. We didn’t know anything about the internet, room service, or breakfast itself.

The staff was amazing, so friendly and accommodating. the room was spacious and clean. it was quiet and bed was comfy. everything was great!!

The only issue was with the shower. it was very hot water, took awhile to get it just right.

employees were wonderful. Stephon helped me check in the night of the 2nd. he was wonderful. room was clean. beds were comfortable and water pressure was awesome.

I could tell the property was in the middle of being updated and could see some things they hadn’t gotten to yet but it didn’t take away from the location, cleanliness and super nice employees.

Glad to see mask protocol within the building. Staff was friendly and was pretty clean room and comfy beds.

Paying for parking when the room cost $179, It should be included when you already pay for hotel room. I can see if you had additional cars, but to have to pay to park in the hotel you are staying at seems to be additional cost that you should not have to pay for when the room rates are already high.
