DoubleTree by Hilton St. Louis Forest Park

There are 2 employees, Stephanie, Lynn we got acquainted with them when we first visited there. They have been a blessing to us. We visit there because of medical, there is no other place we want to be in St.Louis. Breakfast is in the lobby, Applebees is next to the elevators.

Large room, nice view to the north, great neighborhood.

Some front desk staff seemed quite unconcerned about comfort and satisfaction. Few smiles, even stoniness on the part of the tall, bald gentleman who granted or denied our requests with equal indifference. Some were helpful and friendly, but compared with Bonvoy staff we're used to dealing with, the people here were real sourpusses! The duvet - I had dreams that I was drowning in it. More like a pall than a bedcover. But then, I just don't get duvets. They're either too hot or too cold. Layers give you so much more flexibility.

My initial room location was on the 2nd floor facing the garage. Having a 4 night visit, I requested another room that faced the street. I was accomodated with this request on my second day.

My BIGGEST disappointment was that the bathtub stopper did not fully stop the tub (Room 805). I soak in tubs regularly, but did not request another room change because I did not was to deal with packing my things up and moving again. Another comment I need to mention is that the professional appearance of the desk staff should be paid more attention to by management, with regard to neatness and exposed stomachs...

Very nice stay, everything was clean the staff was excellent and accommodating.

I had just checked out, all of my luggage in the car wanted to grab food before I left. I didnt realize I needed my room key to access the Applebees from the lobby. It was early lunch time on a Sunday, hardly no one was in there and the guys in Applebees would not let me in the door. Said if I did not have my key I had to walk around, go back outside, in the cold and snow to come to the front door. This felt very rude and discriminating. The lovely gentleman that I checked out with from Doubletree came from behind the desk to give me a card to access the restaurant. I totally appreciated the gesture, but at that point I refused to spend my money eating there. It was not the best way to end a really good trip.

The breakfast was very good and liked the variety offered. I liked having real dishes, cups and glasses.. The roon was clean and bed was very comfortable. The location was great for us as I had a Doctor appointment across the street.

The shade on the window would not come up so we could outside. I told the lady at front desk about it at checkout.

Loved the location and being able to walk to the park and some local restaurants. The room itself was great. Sheets, towels, and bed we’re very comfortable, and the room was clean. I appreciated the extra loveseat. It was nice to be located near the elevator. Also appreciated the mini fridge, large TV, and the safe in the room.

I don’t understand why my rate changed from day 1 to day 2 when I booked one rate on Expedia. The laundry room was noisy next door before 6am, and the construction and parking lot outside my window was noisy. Although the valet service was very good and convenient, I did not appreciate being forced to pay for parking when I’m already paying for a hotel. Parking and taxes added another $100 to my bill.

The all day warm chocolate chip cookies at the front desk were great. Whole Foods at easy walking distance was a savings too.

The bathroom had some rust in the tub and the carpets could use deep cleaning. In-room coffee was not very good but there’s a Panera practically across the street for breakfast.

Didn't eat breakfast it was 270some dollars and charged for breakfast but was just down the road from the hospital

We was charged from booking and showed the front desk and they said they had to charge us too they said it has been paid back but it hasn't been put back on the card yet

The cookies are delicious, check in was smooth and convenient to Barnes.

The shower head bracket was broken, it was very low, aimed at mid-waist. The paint above the shower was peeling. Not enough towels, coffee, or waters. Poor handicap access from parking lot. Room had terrible view of parking lot.
