Renaissance Chicago Glenview Suites Hotel

The rooms in are very nice and very clean. A great ambience to the hotel. The staff was amazing. They were very accommodating and nice. They brought up a sheets pretty quickly after we asked for some for the pull out bed. They even gave us bottles of water daily. I have never had a Hotel do that before and it was very nice.

The only thing that I could say that I didn’t like was the coffee at the bar area. It was not horrible but it wasn’t good enough to be called Starbucks coffee. I think they should really invest a little bit more into the coffee aspect, but it won’t keep me from staying here again

Liked how all the rooms faced the atrium.

It is more business park like setting in my opinion but drive to restaurants, drug store, gas station wasn’t too far. I was very disappointed when my 14-year old found an unwrapped condom in our room. When I checked out for our stay I gave the condom to I believe the manager who was checking us out. He first asked if I had their rewards card. I told him no. He then told me he would take 10% off my bill. I said did he need any info for me to give me the discount for a found condom in my room and he said he would talker care of it. Of course he didn’t and I was so rushed to get out of the hotel, since we were late to a funeral due to the long checkout line, I didn’t get the person’s name at the desk. 😔

Large room with 2 queen beds and TV in bedroom and separate sitting room with couch and second TV, refrigerator, coffee maker. Clean and comfortable. Quiet. Beautiful big atrium in the center of the hotel. Fitness room looked great, but no time to try it out. Bar in lobby became a Starbucks in morning for coffee drinks and ala carte breakfast menu. Expensive, but looked good. Buffet breakfast also available at the time of our stay, $15 for adults, $12 for kids. I had coffee and scone, so I can't review the food. Noon check out was good. Free parking was great.

Older hotel could use some updating. Lobby did not smell good. Room was worn but seemed clean. $50 taken from credit card for "incidentals" is not uncommon. No microwave in room. Overall, not much negative to report.

The décor of the hotel was very modern, beautiful, and elegant. I especially like the furniture outdoors that you could wait on a uber or just enjoy the ambience. Our room was very clean. I love the kitchenette (sink, refrigerator, microwave), living room, bathroom and bedroom, all were decorated nicely and had a homey feel to it. The bathroom had extra shelving for makeup, toiletries, etc. very nice touch and plenty of beautiful towels. The staff was very nice and courteous. I look forward to staying again, hopefully I will be able to get a better rate, will book earlier next time at least three to four weeks in advance.

I was disappointed that the breakfast was cold. I had to request the food be microwaved. Evidently it sat too long in the kitchen before it was brought out, because the whole pan of eggs were cold. Especially the waffles felt like they came straight from the refrigerator. As a suggestion it would be nice to had a choice of turkey sausage/links/bacon for breakfast. However, the gentlemen at the bar was very helpful to take food and heat it. I would have like to have had a second helping but did not want to inconvenience him again by heating up another plate. As a suggestion have more ice machines available had to walk quite a long way to the nearest ice machines only to find out they had signs on them out of order.

That the hotel had a nice heated pool for my kids. Breakfast was good too although it wasn't included.

The pool was being fixed one of the times we we wanted to use it and we were leaving that day so we couldn't use it at all that day. Also the hotel was only 23% occupied (I asked because of covid reasons) and we were on the other side of the wall from a yapping dog. that was very frustrating. It was a big hotel where dogs could be kept separate from other guests. It affected our sleep and our overall enjoyment.

Solid architecture. Nicely maintained. The staff are remarkably friendly and helpful. It was snowing and I had to post an important legal document. The staff helped me to get my important paperwork out the door on time with grace. I normally don't ask for special help like this but with the weather and the timeline involved I didn't want to go out and find a Post Office. The desk agent helped cheerfully, even though I know it was above and beyond her responsibilities. Thanks a million to the staff!

the atrium was absolutely beautiful. the rooms were very spacious and clean. the hotel lobby smelled wonderful. very surprised for the price.

the fountains weren't working, but obviously that's probably the fault of a water line or something, I don't blame the hotel. the atrium was gorgeous otherwise

The room were well sized, especially with a separate bedroom. The atrium was beautiful and the opportunity to hang out in the lobby or atrium were nice features. The location was good and there was plenty of things to take in nearby.

We hoped the bar would be opened a bit longer at night. We didn't get a chance to sample the buffet options as it closed before we could get down for the breakfast.

We liked the size of the room, the views, sitting in the atrium, the ambience of the hotel, the comfy couches in the lobby and throughout the hotel, having a fridge and a microwave, the pool. The concierge (people at the front desk) were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful decor in the atrium.

While the hotel rooms, lobby, and atrium were beautiful, the carpets could have been cleaned better or more regularly. The views from the room were great, except we noticed that the glass in the windows hadn't been cleaned (but that would probably be hard to do from the outside). There was was a little bit of guest litter that didn't get picked up (a hair tie, paper from a straw). It wasn't a big deal, but new guests coming in might notice it.

modern/clean/friendly staff/comfortable room/not loud/ great area/reasonable price/great food.

Only thing I can think of is the beginning about having my stay and breakfast included and was not on my reservation and when I booked online said breakfast was included and I paid a little extra. The front desk was very understanding and even looked at my confirmation and writing via email I had. In the end it worked out and I was able to get the breakfast with my stay vs paying extra. Other than that no complaints at all.
