Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago - Schaumburg

the staff was friendly and helpful- the beds were comfortable - the room was spacious, clean and had all sorts of amenities

there were a couple hillbilly dads doing cannonballs with the kids for two hours.. kind of turned a relaxing dip in the pool into a nightmare… I kept hoping they would smack into each other at one point, but it didn’t seem worth hanging out long enough to find out… I knew it was two hours because I could hear them performing Riverdance all the way back to their room… but it was nice that the pool was opened and everything was well maintained and once they entered their room, everything was quiet. Rooms were pretty soundproof

I liked the shampoo, body soap, and lotion. (I brought my own conditioner) The pillows are my favorite. The Hilton reservation customer service people are friendly, so was Danielle our front desk staff.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke and had weird burn marks on the carpet by the bed and window. The free breakfast sausage was weird. I went to get water for my coffee but juice came out instead.

It was ok, the oatmeal was good. The set up was nice. The sausage and coffee were good also. The room was very clean and smelled very nice. The kitchenette set up provided what was needed to eat inside the room.

Not enough lighting in the pool area. The pool room had a bad smell. The water in the pool could have been warmer as it was cold and snowing outside.

This hotel is close to lots of great restaurants and only a mile or two away from most of the attractions in Schaumburg. The rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds. The rooms also have a kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker – plus you can check out a cook top griddle from the front desk if you want to do your own cooking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Due to COVID the hotel offered a grab and go boxed breakfast as a solution to their complimentary breakfast. They also offer a completely contactless check-in with room key access on your phone.

The pool was a bit small. With about six kids in it it started to feel crowded.

Shower had 4 small curly hairs in it and the shampoo was in a dispenser that was broken. The shampoo burned all our eyes and had me concerned afterwards that it could have been deviously tampered with. Not safe, should be using single serve bottles. But housekeeping was very nice brought us extra towels and blankets. Rest of the room was very clean.

Breakfast was really good! Staff was very friendly. Roon was clean. Lobby was beautiful! Exercise room had nice equipment.

The sofa bed had a really thin mattress so our 11 yr olds couldn't sleep on it. We put the mattress on the floor and they slept like babies. 😊 Pool was too cold for adults but kids didn't mind.

It was nice to have breakfast available, mostly the coffee. Staff was outstanding!! So outgoing and friendly, always willing to help. I had to stay because of a closing on my home. Hanan was extremely helpful in getting me placed. She is a great asset to the company. My one week turned into two and her and the staff were extremely accommodating to me and my dog. I will recommend this property for sure.

There was nothing to dislike

The staff and specially the manager Mr. Hussen are just amazing to deal with.. Tentative and extremely friendly to the staff and guests. The festivities always nice and broken and this is our 7 or 8 time staying here

Nothing

Nice pool even though it's small. Nice suite layout and size, plus the semi-full kitchen and fridge. The lobby is also very pretty and spacious, plus nice coffee and tea. Having access to laundry is good too.

People leaving a lot of recycling and trash in the hallways. Why? They expect it to get taken? Also, no variety in breakfast. Same thing every single day. I felt like the hallways and elevators were poorly ventilated too.

There were many different places to eat and the mall was really nice. The staff was nice and everyone around the area was nice as well.

I thought the location was fine. However, my boyfriend and I called the property several times, only to find out that the Booking website had the wrong phone number. We stayed at Home2Suites but the number that the booking site and app had for that hotel was the number for Homewood Suites.
