Comfort Inn Rockford near Casino District

The rennovation of this property has been wonderfully done. No skimping and exceptional for the price point. Hard to believe it but the owners were able to put four lamps where you would want them in the room with the same color quality, a sitting chair, desk chair, microwave and mini-fridge, and king bed all matching. Quiet and secure this will be our travel overnight go to when passing thru. Well done, proving it can be done and should be expected as a standard.

The desk attendant on the morning shift was a bit streched to keep up with the breakfast crowd in addition to the desk duties. That said, there were eggs and sausages available in addition to the standard carb-fest.

Room was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and accommodating, and breakfast had a good variety to fill the bellies of my family. For the value, would stay there, again. Staff gave recommendations for restaurants.

Heater in pool was not working. Huge letdown for the kids. Some stains on the bedding. Would love if comforters got washed between guests. That’s is a “gross” factor, especially with Covid. Not enough seating for breakfast.

Location - close to interstate and not far from downtown. Warm continental breakfast options. Public areas looked updated even though you can tell it’s an older hotel.

No matter how much you try to cover, old smoking rooms will ALWAYS smell like cigarettes. I’m never happy about that. I’m highly sensitive to cigarette smoke and the first thing I noticed when I opened out door was smoke.

The room was very clean, felt safe, and was a step-up from the last Rockford motel I fled. The bed was excellent. Food was nearby and the Interstate close.

So, while the building is functional, it is in a cluster of motel strip and adjacent to a Casino. It is showing it's age, but has been updated and hopefully the carpeting will be dealt with soon. At the price point it is ok.

Everything was great. The first morning at breakfast the sausages were stale,old,overcooked or all the above but overall I did enjoy my stay AND my breakfast. I would just beg you to supply fresh & hot sausages. That’s all. Note: I specifically went down to the front desk and stated that I did not see or find my “Do not Disturb” door card but that I DID NOT need for anyone to go in my room. I further went on to say I had everything I needed and no need to go into my room. The front desk agent said “ Ok - I will make a note on your account to let housekeeping know” They went into my room anyway……. May as well have went down to the front desk and talked with the wall.

#1) ALWAYS PUT OUT FRESH SAUSAGES EVERY MORNING. #2) DO NOT GO INTO PEOPLES ROOMS WHO SPECIFICALLY ASK THAT YOU DO NOT GO IN.

Breakfast was ok, but night clerk was exceptional you drink machine was out of water and he heard my wife say she needed bottled water so he went and got his and gave it to her and wouldn’t take any money. Very nice young man this was at 12:30 am. Ty

The manager was very accommodating once we found out the pool heater was not working by giving me and my son a double queen room instead of the one king bed room. The breakfast was rich considering the budget hotel, and replenishments came in frequently.

Staff was friendly and on duty. Room was clean.. AC worked. Assortment of pillows. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and had modern fixtures. There was a pool. We did not use but water was clear and area was clean. It does off breakfast. We were gone before it started serving but smelled good. Well lighted ample parking. We stayed 3 consecutive days.

Extremely clean room. Bathroom had shampoo and conditioner, body lotion. Pet friendly room. Easy and plenty of areas to walk the dog. Very good breakfast. Egg and cheese omelet. Hard boiled eggs, potatoes, sausages, waffles and much more.

Nothing displeased me.

The room was clean welcoming and the bed was comfortable also the bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels no complaints here. I would absolutely recommend your facilities to a friend.
