La Quinta by Wyndham Rockford

The accommodations were excellent and affordable. it was 5-star service at a for market value. The front desk staff was amazing. especially Manager Shawn and the second shift staff that checked me in. Shawn was my 5-star concierge and made sure I knew exactly where to go for the entertainment we were seeking, and she made sure my check-in was seamless.They displayed customer service at its best and I am so thankful for them going above and beyond to make my stay perfect. It is service like this that has made me decide this is the only place I will stay when I visit Rockford. I’ve visited Rockford three times in the last three months and have paid five star prices, but this staff has won my heart and should be given the customer service of the year award.🤩🤩

The staff was superb. I came in extremely late from travel to visit an ill relative. I made a last minute reservation and the staff person was waiting on someone else. When she had time for me, she was empathic with my situation and assured me she would have a room for me and quickly. Both of those items took place and I was able to rest for the night.

I did not like the fact that I was billed twice and the morning staff person was not able to refund my credit card. I had to go through Booking.com and they have a long process of rebilling. It is very unfortunate that the amount cannot be put back on my card as easily as it was taken off.

The heating system, the carpet, the bed and enough covers, a lot of charging stations, loved having a refrigerator in my room and coffee pot. Liked the TV. It was nice that an iron and ironing board was supplied even though I didn't use it.

There wasn't enough lighting or seating in the room. Never could get the shower on. It appeared that the bath tub had not been cleaned very well. Water bottle cap found under the night stand left by someone else. Needed a luggage rack.

The room had a microwave and fridge. The bedroom was separate from the bathroom and the sitting room area. That was lovely! The tub worked well. The shower had a removable shower head. The fitness center was clean and had lots of towels.

The microwave wasn’t plugged in and it was hard to find a place to plug it in where it was situated. Also, the rotating dial style was really old.

Everything was excellent. And the breakfast was great!

One of the customers asked the lady at the desk for a bar of soap. She said they were out. He asked her what he was supposed to do and she told him “Walmart is right behind us”. This was VERY poor customer service. Although I was not involved, it left a poor impression of the customer service given. The better solution would have to gone to Walmart and buy a few packs of soap for customers who needed it. After all, What hotel doesn’t have soap in the rooms???

Located in the heart of Rockford easy access to restaurants and others. Breakfast was fantastic. The rooms were clean, the toiletry was provided when needed. The front desk was very nice and helped when an issue occurred, they were fast to solve it for me. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

I like that it was dog friendly and close to everything

front desk was ok, but the cleaning lady’s were rude I speak Spanish and the language and things they were saying about guest was so rude. And the one clean in g lady was specially rude about my dogs and was hoping we would get kicked out because she hates dogs my dogs are very well potty trained. she was just very rude.

Room and public areas were very clean, breakfast and reception area were very comfortable. To a person, the staff was genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful, which speaks well of the management. Even my dog got nice treatment!

Was disappointed that breakfast ended at 9:00 rather than the 10:00 we were told it would be; we still got coffee and a muffin, but we’re hoping for some hot food as well.

Breakfast options plentiful and well supplied. Location easily accessible from interstate. King room w/sofa bed located in separate section, 2 televisions with fridge and microwave. Cost incredibly low for excellent value of accommodations. First time at La Quinta, but now a fan!

Hot tub or in room jacuzzi not an option, unfortunately.

The breakfast was a hot breakfast which I like. The quality of the food was very good for a buffet venue. The variety was limited which I would expect...but enough for everyone e

You get what you pay for. Keeping that in mind it exceeded my expectations. For the price there wasn't anything I didn't like.
