Holiday Inn Express & Suites Indianapolis North - Carmel, an IHG Hotel

The room was clean. My fridge was freezing everything so I had to pull it out and turn the nob down and it worked better with no freezing. I didn't get to swim but the pool looked nice. The walls are pretty thin but they do space people out so as long as they aren't fully booked you probably won't have anyone in the rooms to either side of you. I come from a very small town so having close access to so many restaurants and shopping was awesome.

There is only 1 ice machine on the main floor outside the pool area and I did have to take the elevator down to get ice. More of a slight inconvenience than a dislike. I stayed 4 nights. They didnt clean my room 1 day for some reason. It got missed.

Very comfortable and clean. The room was much larger than I expected, which was so nice. I wish we had stayed for more than one night now! Plus, we had a refrigerator and microwave in our room. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There was plenty of parking, and I appreciated that the whole parking lot was fenced around the outside. The free breakfast was great and appreciated - lots of options there (hot sausage, gravy, biscuits, eggs, cinnamon rolls - cold yogurt, juice, boiled eggs, milk - there was cereal, you could make waffles, or grab a bagel or fruit, you could make coffee or tea.. I feel like most people could find something they like there.) I did not explore the surroundings too much, but it is close by to some restaurants, small stores and gas stations.

Nothing! Everything was great!

I liked everything. the room, people, BREAKFAST and the cheerful man in charge of breakfast named Terry, the stores near it, the freeway was convenient. I don’t care that the pool was closed for repairs. My favorite room was the breakfast room with its PANCAKE machine! Eggs, bacon, sweet rolls, sausages, fruits were also a highlight.

wood floors creak but I was above the pool so I wasn’t disturbing anyone.

The lady at the front desk was the only nice and polite staff member that we encountered. The lady who was running the breakfast was very unprofessional, she was talking in Spanish bout her problems while we were trying to have a quite breakfast.

The hotel room was very clean and tidy. No unnecessary furniture. Had a nice area next to the windows for just chilling. Brekfast was good. some of the rolls were a little stale but all in all very good.

The only thing I didn't like was when approaching the hotel at night we drove right past it. Maybe we just didn't see the Holiday Inn logo. Our GPS had us going down a little further.

Breakfast was excellent, spacious room, good channels, loved having a microwave, Keurig, and fridge in our room. Comfy soft pillows and nice hot shower with good water pressure

No housekeeping to replenish towels or make bed, kleenex was empty, dripping water right outside our room

The location was close to our meeting place and the hotel was clean and quiet

The host at the front desk was rude and told me several times he could not find my information and that it was possible that I had the wrong location after going back and forth, showing him my reservations, he later stated that the confusion was because the reservations in the computer listed my last name first, which didn't make sense

Breakfast at this hotel is always wonderful. The employee in charge of breakfast is a friendly lady that makes a delicious meal and is so very kind that she makes us smile. It is a joy to see her each time we are at this hotel. Beds are extremely comfortable. Front desk staff are very caring and helpful. Hotel is a great place to stay!

The pillows were great.

They knew we had four people checking in and only 2 of everything in the room. Towels, cups. We ended up sharing as it was a late check in and didn't want to bother staff. Bed mattress topper had a nice lump in it where I was sleeping was able to adjust around it . Had a hard time keeping the room at a comfortable temp.

I had heard that the floors creak so asked for a top floor room. They originally gave me a second floor room, but were happy to switch us. The floor did creak, but given the switch, it didn’t matter. The room was clean, well-appointed and quiet. The bed’s were comfortable and we both got a good night’s sleep.

Minor nits: - only two full-size towels for two of us - no listing of shows channel on the TV
