The building was incredible! The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was fresh and delicious! Would definitely stay again!

The parking situation was awkward. Didn’t know whether to park in the reserved or to use a meter. No one at the front desk to answer questions

Room and bathroom were spacious. We did not hear our neighbors in the next room. Beautiful building. Breakfast was awesome, very nice presentation and plenty to choose from. The downstairs sitting room was so beautiful and the furniture was comfortable. There was music playing in the evening and at breakfast. Dennis is a very good host and storyteller. He knew the history of the building. Even though the second and third floors were remodeled from a home into a hotel, it still felt like it was all from the original time period. It was an enjoyable experience to stay here.

The drinks at breakfast could have been colder.

It's a beautiful old mansion located in a great location. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Easy check-in and check-out process. Nice breakfast included with stay that came with coffee, juice, a hot egg and ham sandwich, pastries, fruit, yogurt and newspaper. Robert the owner was very friendly and helpful. When we went out to dinner it was raining and Robert lent us an umbrella. We plan to stay here again the next time we are in Dubuque.

If I had to complain about something it would be that I wish old places like this could get the funding needed to keep them in tip top shape. Would love to see this place get another restoration. It does need some work but nothing that affected our stay.

I saw reviews where folks complained about the condition of the inn. The Redstone is the real deal and she is gorgeous! The inn is vintage, there may be a bit of wear, but that shows that she has endured over time! If you are a fan of history and days-gone-by, you will fall in love! Our room was just as I was hoping… a walk back in time! I was hoping to see the ghost of Mr. Cooper himself. Maybe next time. The breakfast was lovely. A homemade breakfast sandwich, pastries, fruit, granola, coffee and juice.

The only thing I can say, is the parking was a bit confusing. Use the APP- the lot number is on the front of the meter. The lot is on Bluff right across from the inn.

This was a great experience. Had a hot breakfast served at the designated time. There was a beautiful spread of additional breakfast foods to choose from. Ate in the dining room with other guests and the host lead conversation that was inclusive to all guests. The room was private and had all amenities. The decor authentic looking. The bed was comfortable. The host was very personable and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

Robert was so friendly, he gave us a free upgrade to the princess suite and it was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable the archway sitting room was a great place to get some work done while the Mis. Was still fast asleep. I definitely recommend, especially if one had a full day at Galina. It's not too far and it was worth it. :)

Electricity is weird but I've stayed at older homes before so it's not that much of a bother to me.

Quiet rooms and breakfast was great. Hosts were accommodating. Parking was a bit different having to use parking app. Not a big issue as it wasn’t to busy.

Nothing we had a great time within walking distance to everything we did. I would like to try some of the other rooms in the future. I would like to have a tour of the entire mansion as I am a history buff.

Old mansion with a history. We did not have unrealistic expectations, any place this old at this price is going to have some cosmetic issues. It was still beautiful and clean and comfortable. Innkeeper Robert was friendly and had a good sense of humor (think Newhart) and kept us laughing. Location was perfect, close to everything. Breakfast was delicious.

Very nice historic home. Owner was friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast included in our stay. Our room was very comfortable. The location was very close to the attractions we wanted to see and within walking distance to downtown.

We tried to make contact with the Inn after booking, but we could not reach anyone and our call was not returned, however, when we arrived everything was fine and our check in went smoothly.

The B&B is a bit shabby on the outside (but it's OLD) and wonderfully furnished with antiques on the inside. Due to COVID it is all self check in and at one time we thought maybe we were the only ones there--but we weren't--it's just that quiet. The bedding was comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. there was a fridge and coffee maker in the room plus a basket of treats--nuts, chips, etc. Location was walking distance to the 4th street elevator and to many restaurants and craft beer places. Only a mile from the riverfront museum and riverfront, so you could walk to that also. Breakfast was excellent--a combination of an egg/sausage biscuit dish freshly made along with a buffet of fresh fruits, cereals, juice, yogurts, and nuts. Coffees and teas offered options.. We also loved the big parlor to visit with our local friends in, and the chairs outside on the porch.

Be aware that parking is in a metered lot across the street, so during weekdays you need to feed the meter if not moving your car. but they said there is a courtesy violation given (we didn't get it). It took us a minute to figure out the window airconditioner but there was also a fan in the room so that was fine after we figured it out. There wasn't much we didn't like--just don't expect it to all be modern because it is not.
