Motel 6 Stuart, Ia

I have travelled a lot throughout the US and stayed in many many Motel 6. This is by far the best one! The facility is really well renovated and maintained. Spotless room, soft towels, comfy bed... The swimming pool area turned into a pool/ lounge room is a brilliant idea and the laundry room is always a plus. Staff was super friendly and made it easy to add a second night. Good location if you are visiting Winterset and Des Moines.

Add a few tables and offer a complimentary continental breakfast to go along with the already very decent coffee! And maybe put a do not disturb sign in the rooms :)

Friendly and courteous front desk staff. Room was new, with a large, clean and fairly easy to get around with a walker. The bed was comfortable with an ample amount of soft pillows. Ample parking was available onsite.

1. Loud arguing and swearing at 3:00 AM in the parking lot by the side entrance. 2. Fighting or rough housing in the room above 109. 3. No coffee maker 4. No shampoo 5. No hair dryer 6. After 3 day stay, no housekeeping to take trash out of the room or refresh the beds.

Price for the room is great! And the room was clean. Bed is comfortable. You do have a small refrigerator and a microwave. Close to a couple fast food places and convenience stores that are in walking distance.

Need bath mat in tubs. Tub is very slippery when you are showering. I always threw a hand towel in to stand on. You don't get any accessories such as shampoo, hairdryer etc...but I always have my own anyways. The doors bang loudly when entering and exiting so you do hear them but for the price it is worth the stay.

Price, location and my requested ground level room. All amenities in the room worked well, wifi was spot on and TV easy to navigate. Clean and large room. Will book again if in the area, and a better "deal" than chains closer to Interstate.

The possibility of having a second floor room, so dragging luggage up/down the stairs. But I requested a ground floor room and it was held for me until I arrived at 5-6PM - motel was fully booked when I checked in.

The room was spacious, (we had the king suite). The room was clean.

We wish they would have had shampoo and conditioner. The only negative thing I can say is that the room above us kept pacing till late and up so early, and not having carpet made it noisy in our room.

Friendly overnight staff woman, the room was super duper clean, the place was full except 2 rooms(according to the nice staff lady) and it was SILENT at 3 am when we got there and laid down.. The bed was comfy, surprisingly there was no highway noise in our room either.. I’d stay again while passing thru on our next road trip!

Tbh, I don’t usual equate Motel 6 with quality lodging anymore but this place is clearly well managed, clean, and the check in person was super nice and accommodating. The price is basic so please don’t expect spa items in the bathroom. Our room had a fridge and microwave. Everything worked. Internet was great. The town is sweet. There is a park down the street half a mile to chill in and across from the park is a Mexican cuisine restaurant with some very authentic eats. A wonderful experience and I’d stay again and send my friends.

No complaints at all.

The hotel has been renovated. It looks like new! We especially liked the medium size refrigerator in the room. We were able to freeze our ice packs and place our two cooler bags in it to keep our food cool. Also, it was plenty of parking space for our car and uhaul trailer.

We liked everything.

Big room (suite) and very clean. Water pressure was awesome in the shower. Can't beat the rate and the location was perfect for a quick stay. Gas stations and fast food right next door

I already knew this before booking, but there is no shampoo/conditioner, just a bar of soap, so bring your own. Also no breakfast or in-room coffee, but I usually go to the lobby anyway. Bed was fine but pillows not great.

No breakfast. It would have been nice to have it. It was a very short walk to Subway and McDonalds. Location was good; close to the interstate, but far enough away that we could not hear anything.
