Best Western Plus Executive Residency Waterloo & Cedar Falls

Good location. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was very welcoming, and thoughtful. During checkout, I left my glasses in the room without realizing it. Before I was finished checking out, a sweet housekeeper brought them down from the 7th floor. We also really enjoyed listening to the live band in the bar. Everyone in there was very friendly, band was great, and it was a very relaxed setting. Would definitely stay here again.

Ice machine was right outside my room. Bad location. It was so noisy. I have to wear earplugs to block out the noise. You need to move the ice machine away from any rooms. Not enough parking in front of hotel for check in. Really a tight squeeze. My room smelled like perfumed powder. There was no carpet, so I don't know why.

Breakfast was great. The location near downtown Waterloo was awesome. Layout and size of the rooms along with the view across the river were very nice. Vinyl flooring was a plus.

Walkway from the parking garage was extremely hot and uncomfortable. The furniture was covered with both animal and human hair. No bedding was available in the room for the pull out couch.

We did not bother with breakfast because we have had too many mediocre attempts. The only good breakfasts we have enjoyed are the sausage gravy and biscuits at Holiday Inn. We liked the convenience of the parking. We liked the beds and the TV.

The person doing the check in seemed to have an attitude. She came across as surly. Later, she was joined by a person with purple hair and no teeth who appeared to be right off the street. The area where the hotel is located is in a seedy part of town. I would not venture our at night. There was only one chair in the room which made it difficult for my wife and I to sit and watch TV or to play games. Only one elevator was working.

I loved the parking garage as it made me feel safer than parking my car outside! I also thought the building was very nice and upkept.

We had some rather noisy neighbors, but there was a dance competition going on and they were there for that. Nothing much could be done about the noise unfortunately.

Toilet in my room overflowed after using the restroom in the middle of the night, when I called the front desk the clerk said ugh, ok n just hung up on me, I mean I know it’s not their fault but an apologetic tone and apology for the inconvenience would have been appreciated

This is an older building but has been renovated nicely. We stayed here because they offer pet friendly rooms for a reasonable fee $25. The room had kitchen with a bar stool area so we could have dinner after a long drive, which was nice and felt homey. They have a little convenience store at the front desk which we utilized late at night. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a quiet location and the room was comfortable. We liked the separate living area, and they offer good selections for cable channels. The a/c units in the room actually had a constant fan option which seems to be rare these days (if you like to sleep with white noise).

The bathroom was tiny. If you like firmer pillows, bring your own because the hotel’s are very soft. The attached restaurant stops serving food at 10, but is still open for drinks until 1. I wish they would specify that before we went down to eat. Parking in the adjacent ramp needs to be validated for $5 instead of $12 or $13 a day, which was annoying to have to go back to the front desk and get my slip validated (long day of driving - the less you have to do when you get to the hotel, the better). They charge $100 damage deposit and $100 pet fee deposit right away that takes 5-7 business days to be refunded to your bank. I’ve never had a hotel do this before.

I stayed in a King Suite. The bed was extremely comfortable as well as the abundance of pillows provided. The front desk attendees were very polite and helpful. The self controlled thermostat allowed me to set my preferences easily. Quiet and restful night would definitely stay again. FYI they do require a $100 damage deposit per room which is refunded in 7 days.

It was fine and had some items I wanted but didn’t expect to be there.

Room could have been cleaned better beforeI checked in. I found some articles on the floor in the main area and bathroom.

Clean, decent, comfortable hotel centrally located with a very cozy room and all the necessary facilities.

It would have been better if the hotel had a late check-out as I tried to extend it, the receptionist said no. I missed my breakfast which is until 10 on Sunday, it would have been great if the breakfast was longer on Sunday
