Holiday Inn Express- Waterloo/Cedar Falls, an IHG Hotel

The bed was comfortable, room was basically clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was adequate & cookies were good.

The room smelled as if someone had smoked in it at some point, the front windows/doors were so dusty/dirty i thought for a moment that the hotel was closed, the bacon was very under cooked at breakfast.

Very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Three things to modify the bathrroom: add self closing seat to toilet, add a magnifying mirror that can be pulled closer to the face, and raise the current mirror and put the soap and lotion dispensers behind the faucet handles.

We stayed here during the Ragbrai stop and I was super surprised that a week before (when we booked the room), it was available. The staff were all very friendly. They were cleaning a lot! The pool area was nice and clean with hot tub. No towels available though when we went. The room was nice, clean, comfy, and cool! They have big bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower that all smell great and the water pressure was awesome!

The only thing I did not like but not a huge issue, was that there are no vending machines. We missed breakfast and there is a small store up by the front desk but it had no breakfast items, just candy and chips. We were hoping for some hostess packaged donuts or pop tarts or something quick like that. It would just be a nice option for families that get to bed late and don’t make it up for breakfast.

When booking room, I thought, I was so careful to select the Cedar Falls location. It was closer to the sports venue. When checking in, I discovered we were booked at the Warlterloo location. It would be great if Booking.com could help prevent that kind of mixup.

The breakfast was outstanding with the options included. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and quiet.

There had been some snowfall and the parking was not cleared. You could not see the lines to park between in some areas, and it was also quite slick. Also, sad to discover hot tub was out of order.

Breakfast was great, Location was terrible. Trains across the highway making alot of noise. Worked nights, couldn't sleep during the day

it wasn’t as nice as other hotels. just seems like it hasn’t been updated in awhile. the entrance key pads didn’t work so well. the coffee was empty each morning had to wait for them to come make more.

The breakfast was awesome. Good location to be close to Lost Island.

The airconditioner unit had lots of visible mildew/mold on it which made a little uneasy was it was hot that weekend and we needed to use the A/C.

Just needed to add more towels they only gave you two when you had three people in and you had to go get your own towels every day because there wasn’t nobody doing rooms for five days but we were there for nine days and nobody touched a room

There is not enough room for people to park at front entrance when multiple people are trying to check in, had to keep driving around the block until space came available
