Candlewood Suites - Wichita East, an IHG Hotel

Im a travel nurse and this location was a convenient drive to the hospital I was assigned.  The staff was friendly and obliging.  This hotel is clean; it has carpets but thankfully it doesn't smell like cigarettes (nor pets, which are allowed) which was a MAJOR plus for me.  Laundry was FREE which was great and did I mention that the rooms are huge as well! For the value this hotel definitely exceeded my expectations.

I was here on an extended stay so my only complaint was that the kitchens don't have baking ovens.  Otherwise this place had all the comforts of home.

Location wasn’t far from shopping center or downtown area. Having the ability to easily get onto the highway system was a major Benefit. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was absolutely amazing. Everything from cleanliness to the general comfort of the bed. Highly recommended and will definitely be using this location again.

Only downside to the property itself is the general area for needing quick things to grab from a store that weren’t available in the lobby convenience shop.

I'm a travel nurse so I was there for close to 5 months. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean, the location was central to everything in Wichita and within 10 minutes of the hospital I was contracted to work for, and the free on-site laundry was very convenient.

The kitchens don't have ovens 😣 otherwise no major issues.

Everything felt convenient and easy to access. The staff was fantastic and even got me the same room I had the first visit when I asked for the room again. Though this was my first time traveling alone and getting a hotel just for myself. So thanks for being the first solo hotel experience!!

The internet isn’t the greatest, that’s probably my only issue. Everything else was enjoyable.

The room was clean and spacious, had a nice little kitchen area, and the bed was comfortable. The price was good compared to other properties in the area.

Although the room had a modern look about it, there were a few signs that gave an impression of disrepair such as some water spots on the ceiling, a crack in the sink, and some sloppy tile work along the baseboards in the bathroom. Also, typical of most hotel rooms, the change in noise level of the AC unit as it turns on and off tends to interrupt sleep.

I was a little upset when I got to the hotel and we were locked out whoever was working basically had the doors locked so she has a little push button thing she pushes The Lettermen we stood outside for about 10 or 15 minutes before we were able to check in. And I was upset the hot tub and pool we're not even working they were closed down that was one of the main reasons why we stay at this hotel kids couldn't go swimming.

I love the hotel it's very clean our rooms were very nice and spacious and clean makes me feel like I'm at home. The staff is very nice and respectful.

I absolutely loved my room! Exceptionally clean, comfortable, and stylish. The staff was highly professional, courteous, and efficient. Since I was traveling alone I naturally had some concerns about safety, however, once I was there I felt completely safe with no worries. It was as comfortable as being at home! The cleaning staff does an amazing job, everything was spotless! The kitchenette was an added bonus with the location having a grocery store nearby. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again!

Parking was a little cramped, but with multiple entrances it was still easily accessible.

I can’t begin to say how great this place is. I can guarantee that I will be staying there again. It was nice to have laundry facilities at the hotel that were free. I think adding a few more washers and dryer‘s could be in order because the place is quite large. The accommodations were superb.I stayed at this facility 28 days. The only other thing that could have made me happier would have been a way bake some items. Other than that I was happy.

Steven at the check-in desk was really courteous and friendly. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. We got a great night's sleep because the room was nice and quiet.

There wasn't a luggage cart to use. Perhaps more carts would help. But then we saw one another guest had just left in the hallway on our floor, so maybe it's the guests' fault for not returning the carts to the lobby.

Everything was perfect. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great prices and laundry room free for guests. They are pet friendly so it was a treat to see all the cute dogs that came through. We stayed 3 nights and never had any issues. Also very close to restaurants and shopping. We'll definitely be staying again.

Only downside was the higher price of the candlewood cupboard. About convenience store prices for food or medicine. Which was handy in a pinch. However if you have the means to go to a store there is a dollar tree up the road to buy laundry soap or anything else you might need extra for cheap.
