Hampton Inn & Suites Wichita-Northeast

The staff was amazing from helping two older ladies with luggage, unloading the rental car and taking it all the way to our room on the 4th floor and helping load the car at check out. The roadside hotel is convenient and close to church and local homes during our visit for a death in the family. The hotel is situated in a great area; several different fast food places, as well as a Chili's and Texas Roadhouse! The only fault I have with Wichita is "Where do you get gasoline?????" I had to research and find a Sam's Wholesale!

My bed was extremely uncomfortable. I am a "person of size" and the mattress was much higher in the center than on the edges. Sleeping on either edge, I felt as if I were constantly falling and it was an effort to get further up on the mattress center. And from the center it was extremely uncomfortable to get my C-Pap started and the light off when I was ready to try to sleep. And the comforter was so heavy I could not turn over!

The breakfast options were better than many hotels we've been to. The attendant was very friendly and truly seemed to enjoy what she was doing. I was impressed with her; I overheard her say this was her second job!

The pool wasn't available. The young lady at the front desk when we checked in wasn't very friendly. She almost acted as if it was an inconvenience to have to check us in.

The location was right there by the sporting goods stores. The AC worked well. The breakfast was good and hot. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The tub was a bit small and there was no fixtures in the shower filled with shampoo and conditioner just the little bottles. The pillows were either too hard or too soft.

The breakfast is excellent, hot and the area clean. There was hand sanitizer and gloves; however, not everyone at breakfast appeared to use these resources. The beds are very comfortable. Both the double bed room and the executive rooms were spacious.

The staff was short. The staff that was working was helpful and professional.

Beds were comfortable. Hotel was clean. Good location close to shopping and restaurants.

Pool closed and drained. Not the friendliest employees. I was overcharged for my stay and told by hotel employee the hotel is not responsible for the overcharge. Apparently he doesn't know his job because before I could contact the hotel to speak with a manager, they sent me an email saying my overcharge was being returned to my card.

The major issue is I booked third party. Typically when I do this I can ask them to put the charges on my debt card once I’ve checked in. This is the first time they would not allow me to do this. Not a big deal, they charged the rooms for each night and then once I checked out bundled them together into one charge. The issue is one of the nights hasn’t fallen off of the account & it has been a month. I can see how this would be a big issue for someone who doesn’t have this extra money laying around.

The breakfast was fine. The room and bathroom were nice and very clean.

The only thing we didn't like was the room had a bit of a damp feeling, but we realize when rooms aren't opened up and aired out, that's going to happen. Hard to do that to a motel room.

The room looked and smelled extremely clean. They seem to take cleanliness serious here which is a big deal for me. Makes for a very comfortable stay. Also loved how high up the shower head was.

Though not rude, the front desk employees weren't very talkative or informative. Wasn't really told much of anything about the facilities/amenities during check in.

Property is in a great location & well lit. The staff were wonderful. check in took maybe 30 seconds. rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, rooms got cold with the AC. will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast could have been a little better.

Room was nice and clean. Large shower and the shower head was high enough for a tall guy. Nice supply of coffee and tea for the in room coffee maker. Restaurants close by with a national chain steakhouse right across the street. Right next door to Cabela's.

Only two towels in the room. It got too warm in the room overnight and couldn't find the thermostat in the dark. Found it easily after turning on the lights. It was behind a lampshade.
