Best Western - Freeport Inn

The staff was friendly and accommodating the room was great except for a couple of things (see below) The pool was perfect

The jetted tub Jets win turn-on shot out all this black stuff…maybe the cleaning crew should run from time to time (was gross) That being said the rain shower was nice overall for a relaxing shower but for women who have long hair took forever to rinse the shampoo out an added handheld would be nice with rain showers

The scenery was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. There were 2 different restaurants to dine in at if desired.

The property is split so the check in is by one part of the inn and the other is down the road so it was a bit off putting driving back to the room but it wasn’t too far.

Clean, updated nicely, comfy bed, nice size room. The staff was very friendly! The location was great for what we were traveling for. It's on our list of "places to stay"

Pillows weren't super comfy. Not a lot of entertaining channels on cable, mostly news, shopping channels. The parking lot was definitely not great on the upper level. Good for smaller cars, not for SUVs or trucks.

I had a very nice view of the river. Room was spacious, with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There is a great restaurant almost on site (Muddy Rudder) where I had delicious food (but it is not open every day). There is a grocery store with organic stuff (Whole Foods type) very close by. Free parking on site. Very close to Freeport and Portland, and lovely hiking places.

It would be nice to have a mosquito net for the door/ window that overlooked the river, I prefer fresh air to AC. The place is kind of old looking. I don't like to have carpets everywhere, but I guess that is just what hotels usually do. If you plan to spend a lot of time in Portland, maybe get a hotel in the city so you dont have to use the car, because I found parking was not that easy in Portland.

Friendly reception, easy parking, spotless room and bathroom good wifi, comfortable bed, good soundproofing. Cheapest price in/near Freeport. Great facility for the price. No breakfast but good, affordable

One bedside reading lamp bulb missing, requested (backup plan) wakeup call never made. Stairs, no elevator.

Clean! Had very few staff interactions but they were all very friendly and positive. Very easy check in and out. Everything worked exactly as you'd expect it (wifi, plumbing, tv, etc). The fridge in the room was super cold! The location right off the interstate was convenient to be able to get into Freeport for shopping, and also close enough to Portland to be accessible rather quickly at a far lower price than staying in the city. And it's worth mentioning again it was clean! The price was great considering we were there for a holiday weekend (4th of July), especially compared to rates for other similarly rated places around the Freeport and Portland areas.

The door to the room and the door to the "patio" that could be opened to get fresh air both were a little stuck, causing difficulty in shutting them once opened. The room door had to be pulled hard enough that you were basically slamming it to shut it.

Easy check in. spacious room and comfy bed. All the staff we encountered were friendly. Pet friendly hotel, even though we weren't travelling with pets. Coffee in the lobby. Access to floor three was fairly easy and the room was quiet.

Parking for the floor 2 and 3 rooms was tight

the views are gorgeous and rooms are very comfortable. we only stayed here for a night so didn’t have to interact a whole lot with the staff but they seemed friendly

some of the rooms are literally in the basement with a view of the parking lot. not enough light in those rooms. probably these are the cheaper rooms but the description on booking.com doesn’t mention the view

Decent hotel - ended up extending the stay by three days. Traveled with multiple pets and trailer. Staff was friendly and hotel was good - nice cafe next door. Parking was good and seemed like a nice location. I liked the hotel overall and would recommend if not needing a large space.

Internet failed second to the last day and was not resolved when we left. Rooms are a bit small with no fridge but overall good place to stay.

Good location,very comfortable bed, good bathroom & shower. The restaurant attached to property Muddy Rudder closes at 6:30 We were happy to find excellent restaurant only 7 minutes away in Freeport

The sliding closet doors were falling off- could not get into the closet! Eventually a very pleasant maintenance man came and fixed them. Scenic view means looking at Route 1 & 295 at the same time.
