Fireside Inn & Suites Waterville

The room was very spacious and comfortable, the continental breakfast was above expectation, and the staff were very friendly and professional. In addition, the location was very convenient in that it was just off the highway (I-95), but the room was very quiet. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Guests are provided a key card for their room and to enter the hotel via exterior doors, BUT the main entrance does not require a card swipe and is not easily visible from the front desk due to the layout of the lobby area. In addition, entrance to the hotel can be obtained directly from the adjoining restaurant without passing the front desk. This made me wonder how easily a non-guest could enter and access the corridors of the hotel without needing to pass any real security.

I come here every year to attend the Kneading Conference in Skowhegan. I like staying at the Fireside Inn because it's conveniently located near the exit, reasonably priced and has an outdoor swimming pool. And the Governor's restaurant on site is one of the few chain restaurants I would go to.

I have no complaints.

Excellent room placement for being able to take my service dog out. Staff was excellent. Great restaurant next door. Comfortable room. Visited during a time when outside temps were in the negatives and room temp was comfortable.

When I made the reservation, I was under the impression that ALL rooms had an electric fireplace in them. Alas, mine did not. However, if I had to choose between the placement of my room and an electric fireplace, I'd have chosen my room for its location.

Very dog friendly with a nice restaurant close by. The breakfast was a help yourself individual servings which was fine

The dog water dish spilled a little so we wiped it up - the laminate floor was a bit dirty, not unreasonable but it is the only thing we did not like as everything else was very good.

The breakfast items provided by the hotel were excellent. The restaurant is next-door if someone wanted more.

Even though the property is older, everything was clean, well-kept, and very comfortable. There was really nothing that we did not like or enjoy about our stay.

I'm comfortable in this inn and sleep very well. The staff are always helpful and courteous. This is my go to spot every time I come to Maine to visit my family. Governor's Restaurant is always fun, and one can make the beautiful drive to Camden or Belfast in about an hour. Apart from the traffic mentioned above it is very handy to have Walmart nearby.

The ONLY minor issue is traffic coming into the locale which makes a left turn out of the motel parking lot, at times, difficult. Fireside Inn is still my first choice for the Waterville region, and I have stayed with the competition. The best bet during high traffic times is to make a right turn and reverse direction down by Walmart.

We had registered for a room at another motel, so after dealing with uncleanliness, it was nice to have a room that smelled clean, was clean, and was comfortable.

It's easy to see that the building is older. The rug in the entrance way was older, but in spite of it's age, the place was clean and didn't smell musty. The only thing was finding our room. We were told to drive around the building to the second building, but because of the lack of lighting around the building, we didn't see where we needed to go. After going back and being show where to go on the map, we were able to find our room easily.

Perfect for a quick overnight and early morning departure. Comfortable bed, friendly reception, and exceptionally clean - which the primary reason I rate it highly as a "two star" accomodation. Close to a supermarket and a Starbucks. Second time I have stayed at this hotel and I appreciate the consistency.

staff was very nice, professional, helpful and attentive. Rooms were clean and comfortable beds. The Whoopie pies, at check-in, were a nice surprise and delicious.

I can’t say there was anything we didn’t like. It was a short stay, and, would stay again, if in the area.
