The property was next to an abandoned Burger joint and I thought it would be a run down stay as well but I was WRONG! What a clean and refreshing spot I picked to spend the night. I loved it and wish I could have stayed another night.

I liked everything.

Spacious Queen room, modern, attractive, and very clean w comfortable beds. Perfect room set up for family of 3 plus small pet. Location was next to gas station and eats. Decent breakfast choices included w our stay, to eat in or take on the go. Extremely satisfied and actually our Best nights stay of the 3 nights traveling back to NY from Bar Harbor Maine. We read many decent reviews saying we wouldn't be disappointed and we totally weren't. We would highly recommend staying at The Elmwood!!!

Could have had a reading light on each bed headboard... Sitting chairs when not sitting on the bed.... Drapes could have been better on the front window(blocks a/c flow when closed... none on the bathroom...

Nice clean, updated rooms. Sparkling bathrooms. Comfortable bedding. I arrived after hours so I had to buzz the office to get my keycard. They came out promptly to check me in. Conveniently located motel. It's right off the highway but from the hotel you can't even tell. Would stay again.

It's so nice on the inside so maybe clear out the cobwebs on the exterior walkways/doors so the first impression is consistent with the overall experience.

There was coffee at the office but no breakfast of any kind. The decor was modern and clean. The heating and cooling system worked well and quite quietly. Staff was top notch personable and professional. Television, fridge and micro all together conveniently in the TV stand, but no chairs or small area to sit to have a drink or snack. There were a couple of large drawers in the stand, but no closet at all, and no or not enough hooks or hangers to hang anything on. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept very well. This was definitely a good value and adequate for a night or two, but I would rather pay a little more and get the convenience of some of the things mentioned as well as be able to be more organized. I would definitely book here again for a short trip.

A bit of light breakfast as well as much larger coffee cups to bring back to the room for others would have been better. The shower was hot and clean, but the water in the sink, despite several times used and running the water, never got beyond a temperature of barely tepid...less than lukewarm.

Location was great. Right of the Maine turnpike.

The only suggestion I have is the room should have 2 chairs for sitting. When you are in the room for awhile it is uncomfortable sitting on the bed. Everything else was wonderful. If in the area again we would stay there.

I got in very late and there was a nice woman there to check me in. I just needed a place to crash after being on road and it was affordable, the rooms were clean, it was perfect for what I needed and pet friendly!

The breakfast was minimal and the coffee they offered was…drinkable, although I did take an apple for the road!

No hooks anywhere in room, like for a robe, towel, or bag. Also, the lighting at the vanity was inadequate (for a middle-aged person) for applying makeup, putting in contacts, etc.

Everything was very clean and updated. The decor was wonderful and the Be Kind line of soaps were great. The room had a great vibe. we loved our stay!

I felt the price was high for the type of motel this is but it has been renovated so they must make up costs somewhere.

Comfortable and clean modern room. Close to highway for an overnight stop.

Advertised free breakfast is continental. Adequate selection but no decaf coffee, or hot water for tea. Maybe a pod setup would help.
