Holiday Inn Express Cambridge, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast was good. There was a variety to choose from. I wish there was a another option for stronger coffee. A microwave in the breakfast section to reheat your plate would have been great. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The decor of the room was very comfortable and trendy. I would recommend this property as an option when staying in the Cambridge, MD area.

It would be helpful to have written notices about housekeeping. I was disappointed to return to my room and the bed was not made. I know times have changed, but if a sign was in the room to inform the guests of the housekeeping policy, that would be helpful.

Breakfast was quite good—fresh coffee (regular and esp decaf could be stronger), hot healthy food (nice to have turkey sausage and egg white omelette), choices of yoghurt & milks were very much appreciated. Loved the coffee maker & quality of coffee in the room, nice to have fresh apples out for us.

Would like to see recycle bins available; would prefer choice of breakfast cereals to include at least one w/o any sugar (original cheerios for example); would like some smaller pillows provided, including a flatter pillow, not just big fat ones. The air conditioning unit was rather primitive. It was challenging to cool the room to a comfortable level at night; we could only get it too warm or too cold.

My reservation indicate an up charge for a king size bed but got 2 queen size beds instead. I was told it was the same price when I got to the hotel. Reception said they don’t have any king size beds left. If I knew this, I would have gotten 1 queen size bed and save money instead. The reception didn’t even explained that our rooms won’t be clean when we checked out. We had trash in the room and dirty towels in the bathroom, which was left even as we checked out. My husband walked up to the reception to get clean towels for Sunday morning for bathing before we checked out. I think they should change their policy if any was in place during COVID as to how rooms were clean , or at least tell guest what they are.

We thought the room was very nice! It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay! We also used the pool/hot tub area while we visited. It was also very clean and enjoyable! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and updated and there was Keurig in the room! We had plenty of space and tons of places to charge electronics. We really liked it. The staff was incredibly courteous and kind, too!

The breakfast was alright but could have been better. We were excited to try the made to order pancake machine but the pancakes were a bit rubbery. The rest of the selection was okay but it would have been nice to have hash browns or bacon instead of 2 types of sausage. The drink station was very nice! The juices were delicious but there were a good bit of coffee grounds in the coffee. All in all though, the breakfast was what you would expect for the price we paid! Definitely still worth the price we paid!

Great hotel! The room was clean and comfortable and the beds/pillows were perfect. The bathroom was spacious and clean also. The breakfast was great. I love when a hotel has a hot breakfast. It just sets the right tone for the day. The staff was very friendly. Especially the cleaning ladies. They always greeted us with a smile and a nice tone. My family also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I'd stay here again!

Breakfast was good, more than we expected. Location was perfect for where we had to go, it was less than 10 minutes to our destination. Liked being on first floor as I am handicapped. Ala & all could not have been nicer.

Not one thing!

All the places I wanted to visit was near the hotel. There was plenty of restaurants to eat at. I enjoyed the Harriet Tubman museum,garden, her home site where she grew up. Also as we were visiting the Bucktown store we met family members of Harriet Tubman finishing the filming at the store. Amazing.

The hotel is a winner. The rooms were modern, sparkling clean, comfortable. There was a desk, a small fridge, and plenty of places to get power for our devices. The bathroom was modern and exquisitely clean. The beds were full of fluffy pillows, a warm/cool comforter, and a mattress that was soft but firm. They had everything we needed to work and then relax. The location was excellent because it was close to a grocery store, restaurants, even a walking trail in a designated nature space, and wasn't far from the downtown area, where we planned some site visits. It's also nice that it was situated on a well-lit and well-traveled major highway. The desk clerks were warm and friendly and helpful. I would be delighted to stay there again!

The breakfast wasn't great. I'm a fresh fruit and fresh food kind of person, so I was not thrilled by the packaged breakfast sandwiches and muffins, which tasted full of preservatives. I understand that with Covid-19, they felt it was safer to eliminate the hot breakfast to keep people from congregating in the dining area. My suggestion is that even a hot breakfast could be taken back to the room in a disposable container. But the challenge with the breakfast is not enough to diminish the stay or the value of the hotel.

Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms in good condition. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was very good for a chain hotel. Hot items were provided in addition to cereal, fruits, muffins, etc. Staff was friendly and very service oriented.

Staff Angela Wongus was exceptional.. She went above and beyond. Room was cleaned and smelled fresh.

Nothing I dislike, wish there was a waffle machine..
