Fairfield Inn & Suites Springfield Enfield

The beds were comfortable and the room was large and clean. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was convenient to our activities for a Springfield college field hockey event. It is just over the line so we could easily drive to the MGM casino in Springfield to see movies and visit restaurants in the surrounding area of the hotel. We checked in and noticed our ice bucket did not have a lid but the front desk was eventually able to locate one for us and bonus, the ice maker has pebble ice (like Chik-fil-a) and has a water fill station. The laundry room was clean and easy to use for my daughter's field hockey gear. The daily breakfast has a nice selection of eggs, breakfast meat, bagels, yogurt, cereal, etc. Ordered a chicken quesadilla from the pool bar for dinner one night and it was very good.

The parking lot was large but filled up quickly so had to park further away from hotel and had field hockey gear and supplies that we were hauling back and forth. Not huge issue, but when you are tired and it is late it seems far.

the pretty landscaping, the outdoor fire pit with comfy chairs all around, the window shades that are printed to look like trees, comfy beds.

the sliding bathroom doors dudnt allow for privacy at all.

Location is great for us as we are here to visit family. Enfield is a much nicer/prettier/safer option than Downtown Springfield. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast--eggs, proteins, yogurts, juice, coffee, muffins. Not great but adequate.

Housekeeping could have been better. Beds & bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The floors are hard surfaced. They could have used a good mopping. Same with the bathroom walls. I did tell management upon checkout. Also, the bathrooms has a sliding barn door which means you never really have privacy as there is at least an inch gap on either side when it is closed. Also, the toilet is horrifficly loud.

Nice modern hotel. Staff were awesome.

Stuff other travelers need to know 1. Distance to six flags is deceiving. This hotel comes up as the closest to the park because it’s directly across the river. However it’s still a 13-16 minute drive to get to a bridge and go around. 2. Sliding barn door on the bathroom. There’s a 2” gap around the entire door even when it’s closed. And with the angle of the room it gives a direct view of the shower. It’s a stand up shower with glass doors so everybody in the room can see you naked. Not a big deal if you’re just traveling solo or with your significant other, but not great if you’re traveling with friends or kids.

Clean, comfortable rooms, plenty of space, helpful to have toiletries mounted on the wall in the shower. Close to the highway and convenient for us to visit family when we're in the area. Good breakfast, plenty of choices.

Sliding barn door for the bathroom doesn't stay closed. It's a minor annoyance but a constant one. Too much time spent trying to get it to stay in place when I'd rather be tending to my own needs in the bathroom.

We stay in Enfield to visit relatives in Longmeadow. While not a tourist destination, Enfield is beautiful and is by far a better option than Downtown Springfield. Fairfield Inn is the best option in Enfield. Really nice gym facilities. Quite unexpected!

We never had breakfast as it was always too busy. Maybe extend breakfast a little longer? The bar should be open 7 nights instead of being closed Sundays.

Staff was great. Extremely friendly, but, not over bearing. THe rooms were super clean, bright and very fresh and modern. The breakfast was fantastic. The choices were great. The bathrooms were beautiful.

My stay was excellent. The ONLY very minor thing were the sliding barn bathroom doors in the rooms. They did not necessarily close completely and left a gap big enough to have a clear view inside.

the pool was a huge benefit with the scorching heat the 2 days we were there. loved the workout room and the inn was off the road so there was no road noise at any time!!

at no fault to them it felt like they were understaffed, that’s the times we live in right now, employees are hard to find these days, the ones they have were fantastic though, just stressed and stressful.

My Wife and I were attending a family function nearby Our stay at this hotel was excellent Recently renovated facility that was very new with very clean rooms and common areas Our room was located in a very private and quiet area located in the corner of the hotel at the end of the hallway. Very peaceful and quiet. The only criticism I could give here is more geared towards irresponsible parents more than the hotel staff Specific examples were unattended children running up and down the hallways stairwells and using the eke stirs like a fun amusement park ride up and down on and off At poolside there were multiple examples of parents who were drinking alcohol and enjoying the sunny pool area which would be fine had it not been fur their lack of supervision of their children who were running around the poolside patio, splashing guests seated in their chairs and running in and out of the poolside indoor restaurant and bar area disrupting g the staff member who had to keep opening and closing the poolside entrance from the bar area instead of serving paying guests and customers alike I get it they’re kids Bur the adults drinking at the pool and seemingly ignoring their children’s actions should somehow have been spoken to by staff as politely as possible to try to help keep the kids under reasonable control so the many other guests could also enjoy the pool Easier said than not done with sone ignorant adults and parents but worth a shot Perhaps common courtesy hotel rules for guests especially guests with children, could be better explained and enforced by hotel staff ? Just a thought I’m not being critical of the hotel staff here but perhaps hotel administration or management could take a look at their specific policies regarding basic common sense parental responsibilities as a hotel guest? Six Flags Amusement Park is only a few short exits away Shame on these parents

Everything was very nice

A nice modern stay. Under a flight path, so we’re first floor and not bad at all the fitness room is nice with free weights. Guest laundry available. Breakfast included but not taken. The bed and shower was excellent.

Parking is 5.00 per night which they obviously don’t need to run the hotel. At least if you were a rewards member it should be waived.
