Hampton Inn West Springfield

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The blankets and pillows were excellent. The beauty products are exceptional, and it is so nice that they are not from China.

There was no complimentary bottled water in my room as there is at most hotels, and none was offered to me when I checked in. Also, the filters in my a.c. unit were dirty. I always check them first thing due to my allergies. I called the front desk and maintenance came right away and took care of it. The breakfast was lacking somewhat. The potatoes were soggy. The bacon was paper thin and more like a candy ribbon than bacon. Upgrading the yogurt would be helpful. Offering a gluten-free bread item would be nice.

the room was on the first floor right next to the coffee table and the lobby. the window looked out to the pool area so you couldn’t really enjoy any outside view. when we got there, the young man said that was the only room he could offer me. I made the reservation thru booking and I wondered to myself if perhaps I should have used my Hilton honors to book the room. it may have been better. it was noisy most of the evening. I felt for the price I paid, it should have been a little better room. this room seemed like an after thought when the hotel was built. the layout of it just seemed a little weird. even the toilet handle was in the wrong location. But it was clean and that’s all that mattered.

Surprised at the location adjacent to strip mall. Great if you have a family. There are national chain restaurants close by, actually walking distance like restaurant 99 a great wine store I never heard of "Table and C ine" that sells charcuterie and cheese to go with the wine IF YOUR FROM N.Y.C AREA AND HAVE A COOLER, STOP BY ALDI MILK WAS 1.49 GALLON UNHEARD OF IN N.Y.

They can't do anything about it but the design of the hotel is very weird shaped like a V elevator on the bottom of the v and reception and breakfast top right of the v. The staff was very pleasant. The attendant for the breakfast kept up with the huge crowd and everthing was replenished hot selection often and HOT! Coffee also was replaced often both areas were kept spotless. Great job!!!

Breakfast is still take and go from the front desk.

The fan in bathroom stays on all the time, no shut off that we saw and the vent cover was very dusty dirty.

The staff was very friendly upon our arrival. Parking was very convenient. Room was much nicer than I originally expected and the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable.

Air Conditioning did not cool the room enough. Made it a little uncomfortable trying to sleep. I also understand their were issues because of COVID but maybe if a large trash bag was left in the room would be a little more convenient since cleaning does not occur on a daily basis.

1. No instructions on how use the thermostat. I had to call the front desk for help 2 There was no channel guide for using the TV. After surfing the channels two days when I found the guide. When I called the front desk for help she had no idea.

breakfast was great..

bathroom toilet leaked leaving water on the floor, causing me to slip and fall.. I hurt my back, the back of my neck and hit my head. I reported this to the front desk, but they showed no concern, and never even checked the leaking toilet..

lBreakfast with our attendant Ruth was so nice. This is what I look for when i stay in a hotel . Breakfast is my favorite and it was so busy Ruth was all alone and she did excellent.

I. booked the room to go to six flags but was unable to check in to the hotel until after 2pm and was leaving the next day . Got into park late

they asked me for an additional $250 for “smoking fees” even though I was there for an anniversary not a party. I got my money back though but it was very uncalled for, I had to take money out of an account to pay for it and it made me feel worthless. I wish I knew ahead of time so that I wasn’t so confused looking like an idiot trying to pay.

I liked that the hotel offered a carry away continental breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful when asking for local information, etc. the beds are super comfortable, although there should be 4 pillows per bed not 3. This caused endless arguing over who got two pillows and who had to use just the one.

I didn’t like that the pool wasn’t open when we arrived on an almost 80 degree day. It was inspected/opened the last day of our stay, but the weather was rainy and freezing so we couldn’t go.
