Hyatt Place Detroit/Auburn Hills

The staff that greeted us were absolutely amazing! Both elevators were out of order and the service guys couldn't come until the next day. They had short staff also. The girls were under alot of stress and handled it with grace and efficiency. We will go back for sure! Beds were very comfortable, and the room was super clean. Very glad we stayed here and we will book again. The staff who helped us was Shquila, Breanna and Lasharia! All deserve praise 👏

The building seems to need some love as they had a bucket in the hall for dripping water. The owners should put a little money to fix the little issues.

The rooms are quite comfortable. There is small kitchen area with fridge, coffee maker and sink, a desk, a sofa and TV area, a bathroom and a bedroom area that separated by a small wall to provide some privacy. The bed was quite comfortable. Everything was clean.

I didn't think the breakfast was great. However, it's nice to have access to coffee, tea, fruit and yogurt before heading out.

Great location, easy access to the highway.Excellent staff, very engaging, and polite. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Excellent breakfast with a good variety of choices and ample seating.

A/C seemed to struggle to cool the space. Comforter was clean but had stains on it. Wall sconce push switch was kinda dirty (only questionable area for cleanliness).

Very clean, up to date establishment. The front desk staff was so welcoming and friendly! Good parking. Large room with many spaces that were well utilized; kitchenette, workspace, TV/AV area, lounge, bedroom and bath area. We’ll thought out space. Soothing neural colors. Great towels and vanity supplies.

Handicapped rooms are the furthest rooms from the elevators. There are signs letting people know this is for fire protection for removal from build in an emergency, it’s still the furthest room from the elevator for a handicapped person walking with a cane. This is not optimal. You probably have more handicapped customers than fire emergencies. Plus, the walk-in shower has the towel at the back, very top area. This is very difficult for a handicapped person to reach. If I had not had family visiting me I would never have been able to get the towels down to use, this is a problem in a handicapped room. Breakfast was cold, even hot items that were placed on the hot plate area. Very few gluten-free items.

Customer service and cleanliness was amazing! Bed was comfortable and room size was great! I will definitely return!!!

Breakfast was not cooked thoroughly, not enough food through the whole breakfast time l, and only one waffle maker was ridiculous when you know that's what most guests want.

Breakfast was not organized well. Ran out of a lot of food. The guy boss was not professional with speaking to his staff especially infront of guests. I loved the ladies at the front. They are amazing and so welcoming. Came back 2 more times because of them.

Outlets in the room were not at all convenient, none to access by beds, and some didn’t even work in room, the pull out sofa was very uncomfortable and one elevator didn’t work and the working one seemed a little unreliable :/

This hotel was vey nice...check in was easy, room was clean and beds were comfortable...even the pull out couch that I slept on was pretty comfortable. At first there were no linens for the pull out but after calling the front desk a young lady brought them up to us within 4-5 minutes. We didn't make it for the breakfast because we are not super early risers and it was over by the time we got going. Next time we will plan to use the pool but this time we only had one night so not a lot of time for that. This was a girls trip with my daughter and granddaughter to shop at the mall. We will definitely plan to use the pool next time as I am sure we will stay here again

Maybe if the breakfast was available at least another half hour that would be great but that's about it.

I stayed for 8 days with my children. I found the hotel to be clean and the staff was friendly sky and helpful. I would stay again

The hotel is full. Stop using Covid as an excuse not to provide full services and not being fully staffed. Nobody has 5-8 hours to be away sometimes just to have the room cleaned. I ended up cleaning my own room including changing the linens and vacuuming daily. I have a toddler. So this I found to be unacceptable, but what could I do.

Room's layout, especially was delighted with the mini kitchen area. Bed and pillows were terrific and enjoyed having a king size bed all to myself! Acoustics weren't a problem, but did hear people using the ice machine (couldn't be helped--it was directly opposite my room).

Since my room was at the end of a corridor, I heard quite a bit of outside noise, specifically ambulances and firetrucks. I know it's almost impossible to completely block out those sounds and it didn't last too long.
