Best Western Okemos/East Lansing Hotel & Suites

The staff was super accommodating at check out! The woman who checked me out was really helpful and made the process painless. We stayed in a king suite and the tub was so nice! Plus the little sitting area was perfect and the shower was really nice for my tall husband. Breakfast - They had the delish folded over cheese omelette that I love to see in hotels, little sausages, biscuits and gravy and all the normal hotel stuff like cereal coffee bar. They also have hand sanitizer in front of the entrance which is nice for flu season. We needed to be in Ann Arbor early Sunday so decided to take a mosey through Lansing on Saturday. The historical museum is a must see and Harrys Bar is really good btw! This was a great day trip!

There were kids running around which is annoying but the staff did what they could! It might be nice to have a quiet policy in place but other than that what can ya do?

The size of the room and the facilities.

The cleaning service has to be requested. My room number has been listed twice in the cleaning schedule for two consecutive days but no one showed up. When I insisted, they change the towels and the trash. However, the room was cleaned in another day, so actually it was cleaned once while I was staying for 8 days.

There was hangers to hang up my shirt and sportcoat, there was a bathtub, so I wasn’t forced to take a shower, I have physical difficulties standing in the shower, there were drawers to put my clothes in, and there was a chair to sit in, so I wasn’t forced to sit on the bed, Those are what matter to me and those needs were covered 

Nothing , even the TV had a roving guide so I could find a channel for the brief moment I had to watch TV 

Loved the size of the room and it was a fairly quiet stay. This is our 3rd time staying here and have enjoyed every stay! The bed is comfortable and I enjoy the location being a bit away from MSU's campus as it is quieter.

The toilet needs a new flap as the toilet runs on and off all the time. There needs to be a screw in the bottom of the plate on the door so it actually locks as well. I am unsure if the shower was cleaned because I took a shower within a half hour of coming in and there was a long dark hair on the side.....I have short pink/purple hair.

I like that there was Dunkin nearby and close to Culver's; I liked that it was near a lot of amenities. The staff was very friendly.

TV selection and no option to play movies on a DVD. There wasn't any housekeeping which I understand was due to staff shortage. I'm sure it's been hard since the pandemic to find staff, but not having that housekeeping option was kind of a bummer. But we completely understand the reasons why.

Spacious and beautiful room. Large hot tub with 🔥 water. Not tepid..good and hot! The bar area is a nice design.

Unfortunately..my door key wouldn't work. I had them reprogram it 4 times before someone came up to the room!!! (No apologies offered?!) The magnetic reader on the door was malfunctioning! I was then afraid to leave the room, for fear of being locked out! I had wedding clients to meet and found this very frustrating and stressful. Thankfully the tub helped.

The room was a suite and it was quite big. I really liked that the bedroom was a separate room. We traveled with our dogs and it was helpful to be able to close the bedroom door at night so that they wouldn't hear the noise in the hallway. The room was in good condition with only a few minor stains on the couch and carpeting. There could be a little more attention to detail with the cleanliness of the bathroom (i.e., little bit of gunk around the drain in shower and sink; buildup on the ledge of the floor tile), I may be a little more fussy than most people.

The couch and chair were quite uncomfortable to sit on. One night we stayed in to recharge and spent a couple of hours watching a movie before bed. My back was in pain from sitting on the couch. I tried the chair, but it was also too stiff.

Staff was top notch, from reception to housekeeping, friendly and courteous.

Through no fault of their own, there was an entitled kid hockey team staying there at the same time as us, largely unsupervised, who ran the hallway, playing hockey, yelling, riding luggage carts, etc. They woke everyone up at 6:30 am with their tomfoolery. I asked them to tone it down a couple of times. Other than that, our stay was great.

Original room was excellent. Breakfast was hot and good selection. Pool area was nice. Original room was a suite with full size frig, 2 queen beds, living space and huge bathroom.

Checked in at 10pm Thurs slept left room at 9am Fri, came back at 10pm Fri and ants all over the bedside table. Had to change rooms at 10pm, no longer a suite but regular 2 queen room. Sat left at 9am came back at 12am Sun and toilet overflowed with only urine. Had to get plunger from front desk and plunge myself. Asked for rate assistance and received $50.00 off suite and 2 queen rooms was same price as suite.

the pool, an early checkin with no fee, friendly staff, free breakfast (shoutout to the man working alone to keep everything stocked and maintained! great job!), free parking, our suite was very spacious clean and comfortable

only something to look into, a sound in room 266 that was like a high pitched whine. didn’t appear to be the refrigerator. could not identify what it was.
