Hampton Inn & Suites Detroit/Airport Romulus

Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We got there very late on Friday night, and we were hoping to get a drink.  There was no bar at the hotel, but the person at the desk advised us that we could just walk right next door and the market shop was open in the adjacent hotel. It was very nice of them to tell us that, and that worked out perfectly. I wanted advice on a movie theater to go to and the girl at the desk looked that up on Sunday and advised me on which theater to go to. In addition I had to use the computer to prepare a document and they offered me help because the computer was not working properly. At every turn, they were very accommodating.

There was really nothing I didn’t like. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or a bar, but they utilize the property next door for that so the situation is easily remedied.

From the reception staff to housekeeping everyone was upbeat and so helpful. I had injured one foot and was very limited in my walking. Gary went out of his way when he arrived at work and saw me trying to put the cart in with my luggage. He took the cart and helped me along to my room once I was checked in. He told me to call him at the front desk if I needed anything. Toward bedtime I realized I needed bottled water to take my medication so I called down to the desk. Gary was busy, but another great young man whose name was Alex, I think, brought the water up and was cheery and positive! This morning, I was having a hard time trying to guide the cart with my luggage on it out of the room. A lovely young lady from housekeeping just jumped right in and helped me and even took my luggage to my car for me. I feel terrible that I don’t recall whether I saw her name tag. then I went in to have breakfast and was having so much trouble getting around that one of the breakfast ladies asked what Bi wanted and had me sit down while she plated the food for me! A lovely young Middle Eastern woman and the morning desk clerk walked me to my car when they saw how much trouble I was having. These employees were the kindest and most patient people. As an employer, you are extremely fortunate to have so many caring people working at your facility. I love staying in Hampton Inns, and yours is #1! Thank you to each of these marvelous people!

No negatives

Brianna at the front desk was very helpful nd made sure we enjoyed our stay. She let us check in early so we could enjoy the pool facilities that were very nice. Breakfast was yummy and offered a wide variety of options. The beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious. Very clean and well Managed.

The breakfast was great, several choices that everyone could choose what they wanted. Location for what we needed was perfect. We will definitely stay again.

Wanted the queen suite, but was stated two queens were what was booked without pullout couch but the staff was amazing and fixed the issue for the 6 of us! So it started out a dislike but ended on a like!

The Queen Studio was large and comfortable. Additionally, the included hot breakfast was very good. Finally, the staff was excellent - they were very helpful and friendly.

While the Queen Studio is large, I would prefer a larger bathroom than in the room I stayed. Though if I had to choose between a large room or a larger bathroom, I would choose the larger room.

Location is great for an overnight with an early flight. Airport shuttle was prompt. Room was comfortable and quiet.

There's no pay n stay for longterm parking. Early flight, so no option to grab n go for the "included" breakfast

Pool area bland and not very inviting to relax. Could definitely use improvement, especially as its summer.

Breakfast was very good. Location was GREAT! Had a flight the next day and Airport is 10 minutes or less from hotel. Hotel has a free shuttle to the airport,that is great as well. I definitely recommend Hampton inn and suites Detroit airport Romulus.

Our room was perfect for a one night stay before flying out of Detroit the nest day. The room was clean and the staff were so helpful. The breakfast was great. There were restaurants close by.

I have zero complaints.

The room was good size, very clean and quiet. The staff were helpful, polite and welcoming. Good location and easy to get to.

It was a great place to stay.
