Hotel Whiskey

The layout of the condo is fantastic. It is spacious and wonderful. The balcony is fabulous with views of the water. The location is great. The food at the restaurant downstairs is fabulous, and you can truly walk town from this location. We walked to Cat Island Coffee house one morning and Billups for brunch another morning. There was a wonderful arts market in the park on Saturday that we enjoyed walking to and shopping. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The only drawback in any way was that when the restaurant (downstairs) closed at night our room was the one closest to the stairs and laundry room they used at the end of the night you could hear some noise. Light sleepers might be bothered a little bit. Truly a great spot, though and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable and clean. There were snacks and water for free in the room - major bonus! No contact stay! I am shocked how nice the place was considering the low price point. Large ground floor room with king bed, very high ceilings; ceiling fan with remote; large fridge; plenty of outlets; very comfortable bed and pillows.

Coffee pot overflowed due to lack of instructions. We figured it out eventually but had a mess to clean up.

LOVELY! Very clean and comfortable. I actually really liked the self check in, it was very smooth and easy. The room smelled amazing and everything was pristine. Wonderful location.

There is little to no parking in their actual parking lot. Only a few available spots, one of which is for electric vehicles. Huge parking lot but all other spots are reserved for the bank next door. However, the street parking was still easy during my stay on a quiet Monday night.

Great location. Can walk along the boardwalk to see the shrimp boats, go to Baccus, Shaggys,a hibachi restaurant......Bring your fishing poles, across the street (it is a 2-lane road, but it’s NOT busy) is a pier that the locals are always fishing and crabbing from. There’s a LONG stretch of beach that they clean every morning. (The water is brown, but it’s clean- wouldn’t consider it “swimmable”, but can definitely get in). The hotel itself is very clean- we stayed in the double-queen upstairs with the balcony (room 301) lots of room, very nice. Comfortable beds. Snack basket and water was a nice touch. It’s a boutique hotel- so things are a little different- there’s no front desk....they will text you a code the day off your stay with room number and key code- DONT PANIC.....we didn’t get ours till 2 pm the day of check in.

Not really thing not to like.....maybe parking? Only 3 spaces behind hotel- but parking on the street right in front is plentiful

The room was exceptionally clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The views from the balcony were delightful, as well as the seating arrangement for your morning coffee.

I'm sure they have something in place. Besides the pricing, there's not nearly enough parking spots. There's maybe four or five spots for eight rooms, plus their is also a bar so you'll probably end up parking in the bank employee spots which can potentially get your car towed.

Location was pretty good. Walkable for some stuff very close drive for others. The balcony upstairs was neat even if 4 rooms did share it.

The absence of a lobby/front desk was different at first. I wasn't super clear on the parking when I arrived. There are only 3 spots, that I saw, for the hotel. We parked on the street several nights. The loading in process was not the most convenient either. Upon arrival the correct door for hotel entry was not super clear and the sidewalk was kind a narrow because of the curb needed because it's a driveway. I wish the balcony would've had cushions on all the furniture.

I loved everything about this town and this hotel! Everyone we met was friendly and eager to welcome us. The room was huge with lots of coastal charm. We loved the Hotel Restaurant. GiGi (the front of house) was an amazing hostess. I can’t wait to visit again!

The location is walking distance to a bookstore/coffee shop that has a great breakfast and coffee, and walking distance to a somewhat secluded beach. The hotel itself does not provide breakfast, but the information on the hotel made that clear. There is a great dinner restaurant attached to the hotel.

There is not much parking, but that really is not a problem, as it is not a very busy area.

My wife and I stayed for a night on our way to Pensacola. The charm of this boutique hotel way exceeded our expectations. Check in was a breeze. We stayed on a Wednesday night so the hotel restaurant was closed but we walked across the street to the whiskey bar and had a great time meeting locals and having a few drinks. We will definitely be staying here again when we are down this way.
