Candlewood Suites Columbia Hwy 63 & I-70, an IHG Hotel

Room had updated bathroom. Hotel was fairly empty.

Hair dryer was so filthy it required a wash cloth to hold it. Toilet had dried stool particles along the bowl rim. Sign said “No breakfast due to Covid-19. Ask for breakfast to go bag.” Front desk clerk seemed confused about the breakfast bags. We pointed out the sign and they said there weren’t any but we could buy snacks from their store. All other hotels we stayed at had full breakfast.

I loved the studio feel. The access to a miniature oven and a full size fridge if I was staying there for longer. The bed was very comfortable. It was extremely clean, the bathroom was spotless and shower was awesome. Especially because the shower head was taller than me and I’m 6’3” I loved the easy access to free coffee downstairs in the pantry and other paid items If you had a craving.

I wish there was a small pool, sauna, or hot tub after a long days work. But even without, it was a very nice place.

The rooms were decent, about average for the price of the room. Our room had a kitchenette so we used that. We also had our dogs with us and there were no issues. The property is clean and everyone was friendly. Beds were comfortable.

Not much. We only stayed one night so we didn't get a chance to experience much... we were in and out pretty quickly.

Wow. Initially, I wasn't "ecstatic" with the rate just because we really were solely using this stay for sleep as we did a college visit but when we go to our room, I fully understood the rate. Extremely comfortable, clean and spacious. It was like a little apartment with a full size refrigerator, stove top, dish washer, microwave, etc. Really nice place to stay.

The room was clean, comfortable, and home like. It felt like a cute little apartment. Free laundry was a HUGE plus for us.

A couple of the younger staff could be a little more professional. I also thought it was a little rude that housekeeping knocked on our door 2 hours before check out asking when we were leaving considering we were paid up until 11. We felt rushed.

could not get satellite TV to work. neighbors next door had kid who screamed for 2 hours and they were slamming doors and yelling while we were trying to sleep. neighbors above were having a trampoline party and our whole room shook for a bit. finally by 2 am everything settled down and we could sleep. heard the next morning that police were called for upstairs neighbor.

I was very fortunate to get an upgrade, and was very pleased with the spacious suite I received. The kitchen was very well equipped including a dishwasher, full-size fridge, and pantry space; bed was comfortable with very nice linens; and TV had recording capabilities. Good lighting and sunshine from the window. Plenty of space to cook, eat and work. Nice toiletry amenities. The laundry room was very clean with new machines and very convenient.

It was extremely frustrating to see staff not abiding by the hotel policy or county mandate to wear masks - many staff did wear masks but there were staff from reception, maintenance and housekeeping who regularly did not wear masks to protect themselves or their guests against Covid. I was lucky to get a very comfortable upgrade but the first suite was quite small, dark and stuffy/stale smelling. I find it amusing that a chair in a corner next to the bed is considered a “sitting area”

We liked how easy it was to find right off the highway. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and well furnished.

We couldn't check in until after 4pm since they had a housekeeping shortage and the room wasn't ready. But the staff was very nice and even called us to let us know when the room was ready.

Everything was very clean and convenient. The bed was very comfortable and there was enough supplies provided for our needs.

The only issue we had was around midnight, there were at least two or more people yelling/arguing outside our window and this kept us awake for almost an hour. I don't know if it was hotel employees or not but I don't know why anyone else would have been there at that hour.

This hotel is CLEAN~ We have stayed here twice on our drive from Colorado to Florida and back. Nothing negative to say. it's a spacious room with plenty of space to layout our bags. There are a lot of nasty hotels on our route but this one is on our go to list. We know when we arrive late, we will not be disappointed.
