Gold Country Inn and Casino by Red Lion Hotels

Stayed here twice, a week apart. Both times the front desk staff was exceptional. Extremly helpful and accommodating with parking our truck and small trailer. Restaurant and hotel staff are happy, up beat and eager to make your stay a good one. It's not the newest or the fanciest place but its a good value. We enjoyed our stay.

I liked the value for the price. Because of Covid many amenities were not available and yet the prices were not adjusted to reflect this to the customer. There was no breakfast, the pool was closed and the gym facilities were not available.

We couldn't seem to get the a/c adjusted. We were either freezing or hot. Other than that, the beds were fantastic, the room was larger than most and I loved the privacy. There were a lot of homeless people milling around but I don't want to cause them problems. The main issue I had was they would stand outside our area and smoke. We are allergic and not tolerant of smoke and that was a problem.

Everything!!!! From the moment I walked in, the staff were extremely helpful and very patient. I say this because I suffer from extreme ADHD as well as "piano fingers", and they didn't bat an eye or treat me like I was on drugs. That is so hard to find for me. Then I was helped with a players card, won $100.00 almost immediately and loved that they had a sign up bonus of freeplay. Was able to order dinner at 3 am from their 24 hr restaurant, which was phenomenal!!! Also was able to pre-order their breakfast special,(steak and eggs, omg to die for and cooked to perfection!), then took some pie back to my room and fell into a food coma!! Security was on their game, since my husband wasn't able to reach me after the food, he sent them to check on me, and boy did they! Completely understanding and non judgmental. The pool would have been better if it was warm but the fact that it was even open was awesome!! Maintenance came by to fix a couple requests I made almost immediately after I called. Also knowing I was in town for work,(and the type of business i have), all of the staff were extremely respectful. Had dinner again and the burger was perfect and huge, salad was awesome, and the onion rings were perfect, conversation with staff while eating was sweet, not in anyway seeming forced or like they wanted to be somewhere else. The second room I had since my stay was unfortunately extended could have used a little better eye by housekeeping as i was put into a pet friendly room, and there was still fur on both chairs but was quickly remedied when i made a call to housekeeping, and the lady who came to fix the issue was very apologetic, made sure to tip all, since they were working extremely hard to make not only my stay but all their other guests stay a very happy and comfortable one. Now that i have written a book for ya'll I will say this, I lived for 20+ years in Nevada, and I have never had this service anywhere in all that time.

Loved the extra bedroom. Tons of space. Loved having a restaurant on location. Great location as well.

One of the sinks didn’t work. Wallpaper was peeling. Needs updating for the price. There was trash if in different locations of the room so you could tell it wants cleaned thoroughly.

Room was large and comfortable and very clean, location was as good as it gets the amenities were nice and everything worked great. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting good value for their money.

Some of the sidewalks could use repair or replacement.

Zero complaints from me. Staff of both the Inn and the restaurant were great. The rooms were very big, very clean, and super quiet (at least in building B).

What they called a casino was nothing more then a few dozen slot machines. Nothing to write home about.

the room was very nice except the carpet looked old and dingy. the room was clean and the sheets and towels were excellent. the bed was also very comfortable.

The room was decorated nicely, smelled fresh and was very clean. The bed was comfortable. I was on the side facing the pool, so it was nice and quiet even though the hotel is on the main street.

It would have been nice to have the little bottles of hair conditioner and possibly lotion instead of just the shower dispenser of shampoo. The smell of cigarette smoke was horrible at the check in desk, but I suppose since it's a casino there is no way around that. The room itself smelled very fresh though.

I like it so much because I always stay here when I pass by from CA to CO or anywhere else. It has the best value, 100%. It has the best location, 100% It is quiet, 100% It is friendly and safe, 100%.

It is kind of aged. If it can be a little newer, I would be happy to pay more.

liked that I could park my car right outside from the room. restaurant is one of my favorites as the staff is super friendly and the prices are good.

we have stayed here a couple of different times. the last time was in February 2022 and the room we stayed in had a moldy mildew smell.
