Shilo Inn Elko

This is the closest hotel to my jobsite in Elko. I've stayed here many times over the 15 years I've done work there. Very friendly and accomodating staff.... comfortable beds... good pressure in shower with plenty of hor water.... Several nice restaurants within walking distance... and a shopping center with supermarket, clothing stores etc. It's right off of I-80 so easy in and out.

Window curtains were a bit tattered... but was able to black out the sun...so mostly a cosmetic issue. A clock visible from the bed would be nice...

I was glad it had a refrigerator with a freezer, microwave, coffee maker, & the cart to help bring in my items was very helpful. The location was very easy to find. The staff was very nice. As long as you keep the prices reasonable I will stay here again.

The bathtub faucet was hard to work, may need an update. There should be a dog poop bag dispenser so people could use to clean up after their dogs with a sign stating that they must pick up after their dog. I had to watch where I walked because so many people were not picking up after their dog. I know you can’t make people do that but if there was a place to get a bag & a sign stating they should clean up after their dog, it might help.

Very quiet for being right next to the interstate. Ice that food store and 'Cool Beans' coffee shop,we’re right across the parking lot. Loved the fact that they provide real glasses and coffee mugs! The bed was very comfortable. The layout of the room was nice, with a table and two chairs and a nice 'bar' arrangement.

The young man at the front desk was a bit snippy. How can someone supposed to be providing a hospitality service be so inhospitable? The outside doors which appeared to be key controlled were never locked. There were 3 or 4 huge bags of trash sitting in the hallway by our room for quite some time.

The double-queen room was huge, with a desk area adjoining the TV stand, a table with two chairs, a microwave and refrigerator. There was also a "wet bar" sink in addition to the lavatory sink. The room had some mileage on it, but had been reasonably well-maintained. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked well. They had hotel luggage dollies available and loading in from the parking lot was very easy. The hotel is located a stones throw away from a variety of restaurants, department stores, gas stations, etc.

My wife wasn't terribly fond of the vinyl plank flooring, but it made sense to me as the hotel is very dog friendly. I wish they would allow other pets (like cats) as a regular policy. The hotel doesn't provide breakfast, which I didn't see as much of drawback given how many places there were nearby to get breakfast, but that might bother some folks.

Didnt have breakfast but was a forced stay from car breakdowns. The staff here couldn't be nicer or more helpful. It was so refreshing after the trip I've had this week. Made for very pleasant stay!👍

Only thing was no stir sticks for the coffee bar, but just asked at front desk and gave me more coffee and utensils. Outstanding service. Even had one of the vending machines try to eat a dollar and one of the new employees was able to retrieve it with a paper clip. Talk about going above and beyond. Yes I will stay here again👍

The room was absolutely spacious, clean, welcoming. Wish we had more nights to stay here. Area is quiet and there are restaurants and grocery store you can walk to across the street.

Check in lady recommended a a restaurant across the street after asking what time we wanted breakfast. I said perhaps 8 AM. Went there the next morning and it never opens until 11. Should have doublechecked.

it was very conveniently located, and the rooms were huge which was a plus!

the power went out for most of Friday, and then the water wouldn’t get warmed up for showered

Shilo Inn Elko was in a great location with a grocery store & restaurants within walking distance. It is also very dog-friendly, no hassles.

This hotel seemed to attract a lot of smokers outside near the backdoor. But it is Nevada.

We can bring our dog here with easy access to outside to take her out. Conveniently located

We only go here when in town because the inside pool. BUT the pool is kind of dirty ish. And the hot tub is rotting away, the drain cover wasn't all the way on, after trying to get it back over the huge hole in the bottom we just got out. Very musty smelling, but we still swam.

Previous review for a different hotel oops! This one was very comfortable, I can't remember having any issues at all. Wish I could have enjoyed the pool but I had a dog!
