Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort & Casino

staff is exceptional. both friendly and professional, always eager to help, Don Laughlins story is both amazing and incredible!! The perseverance and insight he showed all of his life is inspiring, and to find out that his staff knows and loves him and he still lives on the property was amazing, I only wish I could have met him during my stay, The property is fun and immersive and well kept.

The only thing I didn't like was the smell of the resorts water. I've lived in the desert for over four decades and I truly understand how precious water is and the need to recycle every drop, However you really need to step up the recycle plants efficiency. you shouldn't smell worse after the shower than before and definitely not smell like effluent. PLEASE, PLEASE , fix this issue.I heard several guests mention this.

The dining options were fabulous as always. Even though this was a quick, overnight visit, we managed to indulge ourselves at both the Riverside Buffet for dinner and the Restaurant for breakfast the following morning. Both of which had amazing river and mountain views, as did our 5th floor accomodations. The 3rd floor auto museum is also a must see for any classic car enthusiast.

The only opportunity for improvement is our guest room air conditioning unit was a bit sub par for the size of the room, as well as summertime desert conditions. Because of this, my overall rating for this stay is 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐as opposed to 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 However we will definitely be back for another stay.

Check in was fast and easy, friendly helpful clerk. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. Elevators were very smooth and quiet. None smoking area of casino was large with plenty of choices of machines. Cocktail servers were very good.

The only real problem I had was that my players card quit working twice. The first time I got it replaced quickly with no problem. When that one quit working a couple hours later I went back to the King of Clubs counter and there were a few people in front of me and it took way longer than I thought it should have to get taken care of. Only one clerk on duty and a busy time of day.

I enjoyed the variety of stuff to do and the gaming machines. I was not impressed with the buffet for the price. Also got there at 8 and was told buffet closes at 8:30 and they put all the food away then. If closing at 8:30 I would think food would be left to at least 9:00. I grew up in the restaurant business and didn’t like when someone came in just before closing but we did serve them and gave them a little time in case they wanted to order more to eat. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay.

The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were outstanding. Although they appeared to be overworked, they were friendly and courteous. I got tired just watching how hard and fast they worked.

There was a "Resort fee" of $17 a night. I know most hotels are charging this now but I view it as being a little underhanded way of pricing a room. Normally, I avoid places that charge fees like this but in this case, I was there for an event and didn't have a lot of choice unless I wanted to drive a fair distance.

The prices of the rooms were what I call affordable, our room was I think one of the re modeled rooms,it had good bed refrigerator and microwave etc.. tv was nice and came with cable..

The facility seemed a little out dated to me, but the one negative thing that stood out to me, was the smell . The whole place smelled of years of cigarette smoke, you could smell it as soon as you walked up to the door,and it stayed with you on your clothes and in your mask .. I think they need new carpet and paint throughout the whole casino.. I'll have to re think my choice of staying there in the future..

Nice hotel. Lots of things to do. Gambling, restaurants, bars, bowling, movie theater, as well as various rentals on the Colorado river. Everything was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful if you needed anything. The room was very clean and comfortable with a great view of the river. For those who don't smoke, the casino has a small non-smoking gambling area, but even in the main casino, there is a very minimal smell of smoke. A credit to the cleaning staff.

No microwaves

The bed was clean and comfortable, room was smoke free as requested. We loved the city view from the 24th floor. So many fun and interactive things to do while we stayed. Definitely plan on returning for more memory making! Everyone we encountered on this trip were in a great mood!

Honestly, the cafe food in the casino lobby could have been better. I ordered a chili cheese dog and it didn’t meet my expectations. I did order a fruit salad and it was fresh and tasty however. Overall I can’t find any other complaints for this location.

Room was comfortable and in nice condition. Very clean. Would recommend rooms with river view. They face east and are shaded from the blistering afternoon sun and also offer a great view of the Colorado river. Best prime rib I ever had at the Prime Rib Room.

Mixed messages over bringing in drinks purchased outside of pool at other Riverside casino bars into the pool. One day we were required to purchase drinks at walk up window at bar external to pool. Next day we purchased drinks at this same bar, but outside the pool, and were told we could not bring them into the pool area. Very confusing.

I liked that the Cafe was open 24 hours but the food wasn't great, I could get a warmed up breakfast burrito from Walmart across the river for cheaper. I get the convenience since it is open all day and night but maybe offer things that can be made quickly and easily rather than store bought and microwaved. Also the tomato soup I got tasted like marinara out of a pasta sauce jar.

We unfortunately were not able to stay on the river for very long due to the weather, it got very windy and cloudy with some rain and thunder, and were hoping we could at least catch a night swim both days the pool was closed the entire night even after weather cleared up. We walked to other resorts and their pools were open so it wasn't great to see we could have paid a little extra and had some pool time.
