Holiday Inn Clark - Newark, an IHG Hotel

We stayed here for a funeral. It was convenient, but in all honesty it was the only hotel close to our destination. We chose it for the location. The rooms were comfortable and there is a small pool which was enjoyed by the children in our group.

The breakfast is mediocre and expensive if you don't book a room with breakfast included. The lobby is poorly designed and doesn't have enough room for guests. No full restaurant. there are plenty of great places to each nearby, but if you arrive late at night make sure you eat before arriva.

The Indian women that worked at the desk had disgusting attitudes. They were so nasty. They were not helpful at all and they didn’t hide the fact that they didn’t wish to accommodate me or help me with understanding any of the hotels policy. They need to get rid of them because they’re the first face that is seen when customers arrive. The men were very nice.

really nice, very comfortable beds. the staff was so friendly. The young man at the front desk went over and beyond to accommodate me. I ended up staying 2 more nights and he made sure it was a smooth transition. I was there for my father’s funeral and was treated with the upmost respect. I wish I would have gotten the young man’s name. the rooms were really nice. I highly recommend

they couldn’t price match what was online

It was close to everything. Parkway, food, coffee, and I felt safe.

Only thing I wish was that the smokers didn’t smoke so close to the entrance so when you walk by them, you’re breathing their smoke in. There should be a designated area for that far away from the entrance. Including the staff members.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was really clean, and the staff was very courteous and professional. We would most likely return!

The breakfast could have been better. Other customers kept leaving the serving dishes open, and our food was lukewarm.

Extremely nice staff--we stayed here after being forced into an extra night in Newark due to cancelled flight at the airport. We called late, and staff worked to get us one of the few remaining rooms and to help us get to and from the airport. Room was clean, bed was very comfy, and hotel is not bad value for the area.

Nothing to complain about

The rooms were clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool area was very nice. The water was cold, but otherwise beautiful pool area with trees and shrubs to camouflage the road, and they played nice music.

There was not a complimentary breakfast. This is a service hotel. I liked everything about the hotel except for that. You can purchase breakfast for $20/person. That is a bit steep. They did have muffins, bagels, etc for sale.

The beds were very comfortable. The front desk lady was very friendly.

When you are an IGH member, you can get a late checkout. That option did not happen at this location and the hotel wasn't sold out. 😐

Breakfast was delicious - lots of hot and cold options. The staff were wonderful and very helpful and even let the kids eat in front of the TV :)

The wifi seemed to have times when it worked more slowly. The a/c was a bit loud, but nothing that really bothered us.

This hotel is always clean. It’s a safe environment. Staff is always very pleasant. I’ve never had a bad experience. I stay here whenever I’m in the area.
