DeBary Inn

The location was perfect. We had a 50th birthday celebration to attend at the Huntley Tavern and this was literally right up the street. The Inn is also very close to the main shopping area in Summit which is super-covenient. The amenities were great and Caroline, who was working the desk when we arrived, was wonderful. Very sweet and super-helpful. The continental breakfast was very well done. Lots of great options!

The only small, nitpicky thing was the woman working the desk in the morning wasn't overly friendly when we came down to get breakfast. Can't really think of anything else negative to say.

Wow what a gem! I love historic homes, and being able to go for walks through vibrant downtowns and neighborhoods. Big beautiful porch, sunny breakfast room, friendly manager. If I had work or an event to attend in NYC it would be really tempting to stay here and take advantage of proximity to the NJTransit station.

Can’t think of anything really. If you’re not an old house person then know that going in, but I love the idiosyncrasies of an old place.

The house has awesome interior decor (retro, vintage, antique, or somewhere in between), and the outside is beautifully landscaped and very inviting for eating, drinking, or relaxing. And the people/staff there were very friendly. It was an easy walk to the NJ Transit Train Station and many shops and restaurants (even for someone with a bad leg).

The location cannot be beat, I walked from the Inn to St. Teresa's cathedral for a funeral and it was a very easy walk. Walked to dinner each night and had lovely walks for coffee and was suprised to see some high end shops in town. This is the perfect place to stay if you need to spend time around the main downtown area of Summit, it's an easy 5 min walk from the train station. Also the Inn itself is a gorgeous old victorian home. I was given room #2, which is behind the reception but it was extremely quiet, had windows on 3 sides, and a door to go out on a semi private porch area. I got Dominos delivered one night as well. The staff are only around during the day so you have a lot of privacy at night.

They do not clean rooms or take out trash during stay. I think it would be helpful if they at least took out the trash daily, that was the one issue because after 3 days I didn't know where to take the trash and it had piled up.

DeBary Inn has the best location you can image. Located very, very close to the train station, the hotel offers a beautiful walkable distance from best places in town; restaurants, small shops, coffee shops, everything is very close. The breakfast is served in a traditional dinning room. The historical building is at the same time, cozy and practical. You can have, for example, coffee and tea all the time, even out of the breakfast. By the way, Robert's coffee is excellent!

This property is stunning. A beautiful "historic" home located in a lovely area surrounded by other beautiful homes. We felt very safe at the property and appreciated that all staff were fully vaccinated as well (as are we). The staff we met were very friendly. If we do happen to be in the area again, I would not hesitate to stay at this property.

There was nothing we did not like. There was one light fixture on a bedside table that didn't work, and the shower was small, but these were not issues for us. Just something to note about the shower if you are a tall or large person.

We love to stay in small cities INNs. Location was a walking distance from the city center and from the train station to go to Manhattan. Staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast is OK.

The breakfast could be with more variety but is OK

Great location, lots of nice common space and a beautiful outside porch I had a late afternoon flight so it was nice to have a comfortable place to work & relax before going to the airport

It’s an older home so not very sound proof White noise machines in the rooms would be a great addition Waves preferably

I didn’t have the breakfast because I went early for for going back to work BUT Sharon was very prepare for explain me everything and telling me the place and the location of the breakfast included in the price.

No comment. I enjoyed my staying
