Inns of Aurora Resort & Spa

The tiny town and environment were lovely. The staff was accommodating, and they offer cute little touches like a fire pit and fixings for s'mores. The decor is cute. And unlike most hotels, they had enough places to hang towels.

Something felt a little bit stuffy. The shower offered only a rain head that took forever to rinse out shampoo, and no place to prop up a leg. Also off-putting, after the fact, was the $37/day "resort fee" they charged. This is a deceptive way to quote a more competitive price and then charge customers more than the quoted price, Nice at it was, this facility is not a resort, nor was there any service offered worthy of $37 a day.

The Inns are all very beautiful, excellently staffed, beautifully appointed with the total comfort of guests in mind. Bedding linens are chosen with rich fabrics offering extreme comfort. The 1833 restaurant offers an extensive choice of entrees and wine selections. The dinners were excellent, the service unmatched. Breakfast and lunch were appetizing and delectable. Guest requests are met with total satisfaction. The lake views are spectacular.

The continental breakfast was adequate, but didn't seem to fit the high standards set by the Inns. I would prefer and am accustomed to more selections in a physical space that can accommodate more than two people at a time. The butler pantry area was too confined and crowded. The granola bars were tasty and healthy if that is something to your liking. Personally neither my husband nor I find granola bars very appetizing.

We love it at this hotel! This is our second time there and will definitely go back! It’s spotless, friendly staff, beautiful rooms with beautiful bathrooms, gorgeous view, exceptional dining room with cozy bar, and wonderful food. Fireplaces in the lobby. Perfect setting by the lake. Loved our porch with swing overlooking the lake.

Wasn’t much that we didn’t like. Our gas fireplace made a noise that was loud, so we didn’t use it. But, we didn’t say anything about it. But, that was really the only negative, other than one of the desk clerks was scrolling her phone one morning, instead of paying attention to who was coming and going. All of the other clerks we very attentive and friendly.

The Inns of Aurora exceeded my expectations regarding the professionalism of staff, the cleanliness of the properties, the Spa and restaurants in their desire to exceed any expectations that you may have had prior to arrival.

There isn't anything I would change

Great view, we’ve got an update but couldn’t see the room we would’ve had before. So we’ve had no comparison. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful and super cozy.

The breakfast option was too expensive.

I stayed in Wallcourt Hall and loved it. The decor, the artwork, the sitting room, the front porch, and the fire pit were all great aspects of the facility. There are walking/hiking trails close by are scenic and interesting. Staff in the Hall and the Inn were all very friendly and informative!

The restaurant Fargo was not open two of the days of our stay, so the Inn was the only option for dinner. Another eating facility would be nice.

Love the area! Would suggest a light breakfast be included. Perhaps adding some rolls and juice.

The above comment and would have enjoyed an opportunity to share a boat ride on the lake.

Beautiful Inn and the room was great. Breakfast and coffee each morning - delicious! The view from the room balcony was breathtaking, looking out over the lake. Quaint little town with some shops and places to eat. Nice place to walk around and take in nature; friendly locals add to the charm. Will return for sure!

There is really nothing that we disliked about our stay. One thing I will say is some of our fellow travelers were not too considerate of others with noise levels, but this was not any reflection on the Inn.

Everything was awesome. Room was beautiful. Staff was great.

Use of the pool was limited to a spa package. Use of a pool should be standard at any resort.

Beautiful little hotel, located in a beautiful place next to the lake. Loved the shore area with the chairs and a fire pit, the restaurant looked beautiful (although we couldn't get a reservation - was booked), complimentary wine/tea/hot chocolate/granola bars. The common area was very cozy, had a fire place. It was very clean and quiet. Our innkeeper Katie was very friendly and helpful.

Our room was way too small, literally a bed with a few feet of space around it and a bathroom. We didn't expect that looking at the pictures when we booked. I felt a bit cold, we could only set the temperature to 73F, it wouldn't go higher.
