Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham - Penn Yan

I forgot to pack the mask for my CPAP machine when leaving. 20 minutes later I remembered... so I went back as the ladies cleaning the room had just started on mine, found it and had already put it aside in a plastic bag. I was soooo relieved. The room was clean and the amenities were adequate. I didn't partake of the breakfast as I'm a late riser so just had a fruit, yogurt and coffee.

When I checked in I wanted to use the safe but it kept giving me an E-code. Called the desk and Mike didn't know how to fix it. So I didn't use it. The following morning I tried to make a coffee from the machine in the room and followed the instructions carefully. I filled up the cup with water, pushed the "on" button, but nothing ever came down. I didn't bother to report it to the desk and just went downstairs to get my coffee.

I love that you allow pets to stay. That is a big reason that I book with you. It is just bonus that your staff has always been so friendly every time I visit your establishment. The rooms are always clean and well stocked with everything you need. I find it to be a really good value and the fact that it is in the middle of everything is also great.

The only thing I can say I did not like is that on the second floor there was someone who was smoking in the room and when you got off the elevator it was very pungent. That would be the only thing that I didn't like about the stay. But that being said. It is the guest who chose to smoke in the room of a non-smoking room.

Great place to stay in Penn Yan in the Finger Lakes region. Been coming here for years. Ashley and Vanessa from the front desk and Nikki in housekeeping and the breakfast attendant-all extremely professional and kind. They admitted how they love serving the people and the guests and they just really made our experience a nice one and got us anything we needed. They deserve a ton of credit. I’d like to thank the management for this nice hotel-we will be back. Thanks again!! Cannot say enough good things -it’s worth every penny to stay here.

Staff was fantastic - very welcoming and helped with every single thing we needed. We had booked a single room and didn’t realize how small it was - we brought a road bike and needed a larger room / we’re able to get upgraded to a suite at no additional charge. We took advantage of breakfast and the pool and loved the complimentary lemon water, coffee and cookies. Fantastic location - we were able to walk to all our fave spots in town. We will definitely be back!

We would have loved a hot tub

A very nice, clean ,modern hotel.Simple but good breakfast offered.restaurants and stores all with in walking distance. Good location between 2 lakes.

For myself with a bad back the beds were very uncomfortable. It left me in pain every morning.luckily there was a Rite aid right next door. We were also there for 3 nights Fri-Mon and they only cleaned the room on Saturday.It also would be nice to have a place to relax with a bottle of wine(optional) after the your day visiting wineries .Rooms are for sleeping only.

The beds were comfy, breakfast was good, the lady who took care of the breakfast area was outstanding.

Not a complaint, housekeeping was short of staff, very late on one occasion. But everywhere you go there are help wanted signs. It seems people don't want to or have to work anymore, businesses suffer, customers suffer as well, it's sad what's happened to our country. It's not your fault.

I missed the hot breakfast but coffee, juice, muffins and pastry were still available. I was delighted to discover the selection of gluten-free muffins! The women working the breakfast station was lovely.

The bathroom lighting could be brighter for makeup application plus one light bulb was out in my room. The TV was annoying. Channels change very slowly and it was difficult to get back to the TV guide. Music playing in the corridors all night long is not necessary and was too loud.

The hotel is centrally located with plenty of parking. Our room was clean with plenty of towels, liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. My husband loved the cookies in the lobby, which was a really nice treat. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

My husband would have liked a hot tub and he thought the pool had way too much chlorine in it.

Stuff is great and kind. As soon as we arrived the bathtub was clogged and they assigned us another room in same floor with an upgrade. Location is perfect and near to all Finger Lakes attractions. Breakfast is simple and ok.

Housekeeping only after 3 days because of COVID (?). You can request it if you want before, but they will only change your towels, remove trash, etc but without normal cleaning.

the property manager Nikki Mason was totally amazing with the best customer service and attention to guest needs. she was the best ever. thank you Nikki for making us welcome very centrally located with major conveniences all around and within walking distance
