Holiday Inn Binghamton-Downtown Hawley Street, an IHG Hotel

The staff at the front desk was extremely nice. The hotel and room was nice too and I loved the view of the river.

The free breakfast is not worth it and the staff in the restaurant were rude insisting that we needed 2 vouchers for the free breakfast. After going back and forth to the front desk to get the vouchers the breakfast was not that good. The breakfast sausage was not cooked thoroughly with it still being pink in the middle. Not too many healthy options for breakfast. Also, upon checking into our room there were dirty towels outside our room on the floor that wasn't cleaned up until the next day after coming back from breakfast. There was only one kcup to make one cup of coffee and usually there are 2 in the room.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful from check-in to check-out. They answered all my questions quickly and accurately and seemed genuinely concert about my satisfaction.

The bar / restaurant area looked like it was under construction and was empty for all practical purposes. There was conflicting music playing - melodic jazz at the bar (which was nice) then pop music over a tinny speaker nearby that spoiled what could have been a relaxing moment.

My friend ran down to get breakfast at 9:10 after I googled the hours and realized that the restaurant was closing at 9:30..a flier with a menu and hours would be lovely to have posted in your rooms as well as a T.V. channel chart.

I was surprised how small the room was. No chairs to sit in except the desk chair. The one bottem dresser drawer wouldn't stay shut and my friend kept stubbing her toe on it.. bathroom was so small with no ventilation and the door needs a good cleaning...😁

Breakfast was very good, with adequate well-prepared selections and a variety of options. The room was a spacious restaurant very clean with tables already set.

They did not have takeaway coffee cups at the buffet so I had to go to the front desk area to get a takeaway coffee after breakfast.

This hotel was amazing! The hotel was exceptionally beautiful , clean and comfortable. I cannot thank enough the front desk staff, Mark and Susan. They were not only helpful, but went that extra mile to ensure all our needs were met ( and with a smile)! We have stayed at other hotels in the area but this one was in a perfect location where we were just a short and safe walk to a lot of nice restaurants. We will most definitely be staying here again when we are back and town. This is a exceptional hotel

everything was good… it was clean , the staff was friendly the breakfast buffet was delicious…

The AC didn’t work it was so hot in the room, I stayed for the weekend and housekeeping never came by to see if we wanted service or needed anything. And there was kids / teenagers on out floor running in the hallways all night and slamming their doors… other than that it was good

Pool was open and had time limits to ensure everyone was able to swim without overcrowding. Luckily no one was in the pool during our stay so we had it to ourselves. Rooms were spacious and had nice bedding. The shower was great. Nice sized TV too. Close to everything you need too. Location is great.

When we first arrived there was a very small but noticeable blood stain on the sheets and comforter but we were able to get everything swapped and changed and they apologized for the inconvenience.

Dinner menu was not good booked a room with one king size bed - only had 2 queen size bed (they said that they would contact booking.com) asked for receipt when checking out, they said that they could not because i used booking and booking is who got paid

I love the way the room was set up it had a nice counter with chairs that you can pull up subj and refrigerator along side a whole like living room area with pullout couch and TV alongside the 2 queen beds in the other room and TV a nice double vanity sink and nice separate bathroom.. Overall very nice and the pool was nice too

Size of room was great. Mattress on pullout sofa could be more comfortable. I’ve seen better sleeper couches. I felt bad for my teenage son. Otherwise the property was exactly what we expected.

Also parking can be a bit rough.
